EXPing in the new ToAU areas?
Well, after reading the 1000th story about getting 12k/hour in the ToAU zones(not merit mind you, but real EXP parties) I was wondering if a level 60ish party could fight there. I did a search for monster levels and found that Trolls and Eurceas(whatever those new crawlers are called) are the same level as Toramas in LoO. I went there to scout out a new camp... and found, to my intrest, a level 65-66 party EXPing off them. I'm not sure about this so much now... Are these mobs tougher for their level and Sanction just makes up for fighting them at higher levels?

Re: EXPing in the new ToAU areas?
my first ToA PT was level 62-63. We went to Aydewa and kill the big spiders there. EXP was really good. The bad thing was that, unlike other mobs, they pop so slow...

64-68 I went into Halvung and escape to get to the mount. A little south are red crawlers. They pop every 5 minutes I think... never run out of them. Great, great EXP.
The bad thing is their fire breathe. Bafire helps a lot, but it can still hit for 600+ with barfire sometimes. I've seen both Nin and Pld got 1 shot with it.

68+ I've only been to Caedarva Mire killing Imps.
As long as the area isn't overcrowded, EXP was always close to 10k/hour. More or less depends on the PT set up.
However, this is not always the case... It seems to be the only place most people know about at the moment. It gets rediculously crowded especially in the evening.... Even merit 75+ PTs still come here.

I'm so close to 71Blm now and I really want to know alternative from this place.

Re: EXPing in the new ToAU areas?
64-67 I know you can go to Bhaflau Thicket, G-8 I think and fight Colibri. They don't link and are easy to kill, but the tank shouldn't eat food and theres should be no spell casting on the Colibri, let alone a BLM.

Those new crawlers are beastly, their fire breath did like 600 to our paladin at 75% hp.

Re: EXPing in the new ToAU areas?
I believe I had a party at Aydeewa Subterrane a while back as RDM60. It was an all JP party (exept for me) and the EXP was amazing, the most I'd had in a long time. We were going at about 6k/hr and were together for about 3 hours. We fought crawlers and deremites (I can't remember their specific names, but I know that's what they were). No deaths, but we did have a few links, but we lived. The crawlers were obviously easier than the deremites (because they don't have that freaking spinning AoE attack) but both were good exp material.

And a freight train couldn't have stopped their puller, so we just kept chaining and chaining...

Subterrane eh? Do you remember where the camp was? Even a rough estimate will help.
