Hello everyone, first post here :D I have recently started a MNK on Asura, and when it dinged 10 I found a social ls to join.

Well, turns out that the ls leader plans on starting a ls static, as all of us are nearing or at level 10. My question is, would a static consisting of MNKx2, RDM, WHM, and a pickup tank (or future addition to the ls) be feasible in the dunes from level 10-20? And, if so, would it also be possible for me to tank as a MNK (if properly equipped) even considering that I'm a Tarutaru? I'm not sure that equipment can completely remedy my mediocre defense and hitpoints...could anyone share their input?

I was partying with tank-esque MNK a couple of nights ago in Dunes - you should be fine, but you really should be only seeing yourself as a 'backup' tank to voke off the WAR when things get too hot.

At 10 MNK you wont have the heavier armor, you're a taru, which is fine, but your HP pool wont be as high as any other race - it doesnt bode well for a main tank, one critical alpha strike and you'll be a stain on the sand.

EDIT: Sorry, thought I was posting in a different thread. What I said was totally irrelevant.

On topic however, you can tank for a while, you may start having a little trouble toward the end of dunes, and if you're planning on going any farther than that, then you'll want to find a dedicated tank.
