He doesn't have it yet. And neither do I! I've been waiting for my Vana'Diel Collection to arrive anytime now too. So if you'd feel like partying if we happen to be on the same server, I'd be happy to.

Well, I've honestly never thought of which server I'd be on, really. Isn't it decided randomly? Either way, I've promised my brother I'd buy him a world pass so that he'll be in the same server as me when he gets his XB360 version in a few months. If he's on a different server, I'll buy a worldpass and we'll BOTH go to Ragnarok. But if he's on the same server as I, I won't have to buy him a worldpass and I won't get a chance to shift to Ragnarok. Either way, I haven't decided yet, but I'll send you PM when I do.

Its selected randomly but just put in a worldpass request here http://www.ffxionline.com/forums/ in the server you want to both go to. Each world pass has 5 uses.

Ah, cool. The link is to the forums index, so where should I post it? And isn't it something you request for in-game? Or at least, that's what I've heard... I may be wrong, but I'm willing to learn.

Go to the server you want to play on within the index. There will be a Sticky: All World pass requests or something of the such like and you request it in there, a kind person on the game will shell out a beastly 1ooog I think it usually is to buy a wp and will PM you it. Youll have to be patient and wait for someone to get you one. Alternitively you can just make and remake characters till you get onto the server you want then buy a wp yourself.

Hi guys, I installed the game but its hit a snag! The POL viewer isnt updating, I'm connected to the net through an ethernet cable, do you need an internet server such as AOL or is the network down at the moment because its really frustratin! I JUST WANNA PLAY!

As long as you are 'online' after you install the POL viewer, it should update and restart - at which point is it failing? At the download file manifest screen?

Reboot, make sure you are connected to the internet, then start up POL.

Well I know that where I have set up my game (my dorm room) the firewall gets in the way. I am still looking for away around (darn college and their firewalls). You might want to check to see if that is interfering. Also if someone else has fixed this problem please let me know. Really want to start playing.

It seems my college server cannot support the actual game, SO I'm not gonna get to play it till april...WAT A BUMMER! oh well I'll just have to buff my playing skills up when I get the manual! Cheers for the help guys, might see ya in april!

Depending on how much trouble you are willing to get into, you could always look at proxy software, can anyone say if FFXI is compatible / viable with proxy software?

Never tried it, but installed some progs at work and accessed them when I wasnt supposed to ^_^;;
