O.k. i was going to do a bcnm several times and as ppl say thfs cant do it, can u tell me why they cant and what are good jobs for bcnm20?

Well it all comes down to which BCNM. I don't know any that a THF would really be helpful with, but that doesn't mean they can't be. Just do some research about the one you want to do.

i would imagine thf/nin at hi lvs would be good for slicing things quickly like bcnm royal jellies lv40 cap very risky and need damage dealt fast if you have many stacks of bloody bolts and some good daggers as well as a rdm/blm and a drk/nin or drk/war you can do great i think

Thief usually just can't put out as much damage as other jobs, and that is what is needed for some of these BCNMs. I have done successful BCNM runs as thief, though. You mainly need a party that knows what they're doing, and importantly a thief that knows what he's doing. I know that the BCNM40 Worm's Turn can be easily done by a thief. Just make sure that your marksmanship is capped, and sub ranger. If you don't have ranger sub leveled, you'll lose the benefit of ranged weaponskills and sharpshot, but if you're sub ninja, you'll have shadows and an offhand dagger to increase more ranged accuracy.

Thf work quiet well in some higher lv bcnms but its like any other job it has its uses sometimes and other times it doesnt, its not like no thfs ever get to do bcnms.

im not sure if dagger is piercing or slashing but, the bcnm60 ghost one would be one i think thf would be ok for.

It's hard to tell whether or not Treasure Hunter affects the drops from the chest. My linkshell was manaburning some people through a few KS30s, and both the other thief and I got Venemous Claws to drop on our runs. If you've got a thief in the BCNM with you, it would probably be a good idea to have him open it. Even if it doesn't help, it couldn't hurt.

Dagger is piercing, and I've heard that thief could be useful for that BCNM, but I've never tried it myself.

they they would take on piercing pearcy. when they say they are weak to that type of attack, they really mean WEAK. the nm has lots of hp but, it sure as heck takes tons of dmg from the proper weapon type. pretty much, 2 jobs with that dmg type and a whm or /whm should do the trick.

BCNM 40 Royal Jelly w/ THF, My friend and I do it a bunch of times and THF rocks for that BCNM
Seems that RNG/DRG/THF are like the best for that BCNM
Thats the only one I know that you can be useful with, dunno bout others

From my own experiance, this is a good dd if you can't get a rng or sam for the Worms Turn bcnm. Just stock up on bloody bolts, and acid bolts, get Iron Musekteer's Gambison, ra acc+ gear and you can deal great damage .
And no, thf doesn't affect the chest opening drops T.T, opened it on my orb, sucky drops..... nemesis earring, 400k >.<... while the others gotten erase or ni, or both :/
