DRGs in PT

I have just started out the game, or i have been playing for some time, but i dont look at myself like an experienced player if you see what im saying^^
So i do DRG, and im level 30 now. What i wanna know is what outher jobs think the DRG should do in a party? Im not asking cuz i dont know how to do my job, i just wanna know what people mean so i can do a good job. Till now i have backup tanked, done some pulling and been DDing, but after 30 my gear is not a tank gear, so ill mainly will be DDing. But some hint on what other jobs would see a DRG do in a party would be nice so i can do a good job for everyones best. And if you dont like DRG just dont come whit comments like "dont party" or stuff like that. Just dont answer, all im trying to do is find out how i can do a good job, and what other consider a good jub

More to the point, at around you're level you will start to become a fuidama [Sneak/Trick Attack] partner. Every one of a dragoons jumps sheds some percent of hate. Jump is 5%, High Jump is 50%, and Super Jump is 100%. Alas, you don't have SJ yet...so You'll be relying on HJ, which is good enough by itself.

But mostly your job is to do damage, and help the thiefs manage hate on the mob so it doesn't go willy nilly.

I've done a few things as drg in parties. But usually its the SATA Partner path. A few times I was asked to sub WHM while fighting gobs to Divine/Curaga after Bombs then High/Super Jump. Now with this new 2hr of hours I've seen a few DRG's invited to certain Boss/God Fights simply to 2hr at the right time Lower Def, Remove TP, let the WHM curaga and then remove the hate of the whm. And DD when your not doing that. Some of the parties I've been in made me feel like a Bard I was running around in circles so much >.<
