Magic Bursts

Hey all, quick question. Im a 33 blm and I really want some hints on how to cast magic bursts. I know to wait every 2 tp skills to use it, but sometimes, my party members don't say anything in he party window, shich completly leaves me in the dust. Any hints/tips would be appreciated ^^

Re: Magic Bursts

basically just get to know which MBs you can do with what skillchain effects (and preferably the mob weakness too ^^)

Reverberation -> Water
Impaction -> Thunder
Liquefaction -> Fire
Scission -> Earth
Detonation -> Wind
Induration -> Ice
Compression -> Dark
Transfixion -> Light
Fusion -> Fire/Light
Fragmentation -> Thunder/Wind
Distortion -> Water/Ice
Gravitation -> Dark/Earth
Light -> Fire/Thunder/Light/Wind
Darkness -> Dark/Earth/Ice/Water

I think that's all of them ... okay! Now for an example (a 2 weaponskill chain):

Player 1 uses Tachi:Enpi
Player 2 uses Wasp Sting
Skillchain effect: Distortion
---
At this moment, you have 5 seconds land your spell of that element (so lets say, Blizzard). Blizzard has a 2.5s cast time so you can start casting it the instant you see the renkei effect on your screen. That's pretty much it!

For longer casting spells, adjust when you start casting it accordingly. Plus, the chatlog tends to lag (for me at least) so time it based on when you see the onscreen effect. Also, in 3+ weaponskill chains, you only have 1 second between weaponskills to MB if it's not the finishing one. Hope that helps >.>

Re: Magic Bursts

With tier III, IV and -ga III you will need to start casting when the second person uses his or her weapon skill, this should make sure your MB hits. I think Tier II and -ga II should be started right after the second WS is done.

Re: Magic Bursts

I would also recommend that as BLM, you learn how to read a Renkai chart or get a skillchain calculater. That way you don't need to count on the melee to set one up if the party doesn't have a skillchain going; you can setup the skillchain.
