Three-man BCNM40 in Palsbourough Mines. The Jellies line the side of the arena and slowly move towards the center. Eventually they'll all merge into a Queen Jelly which has a lot more defense and the combined health of all the Princess Jellies remaining. They'll cast weak magic on you the entire time, and if you're too close they'll take a whack at you too.
I find the drops are always better if you let the last jelly turn into a Queen. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 07-14-2005, 09:14 AM | #4 (permalink) | | Moderataru Super Moderator Join Date: Dec 2002 Location: Roswell, GA Posts: 4,579 Style: Dark - Version 5 Thanks: 107 Thanked 180x in 119 Posts Gil: 44,478 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 44,478 Donate | Re: BCNM 40: Royal Succesion Done it about 8 times, broke the record on the last one with WHM/BLM, WAR/NIN, DRG/WAR.
Just have two melee rush through each jelly starting on the left, have the mage Elemental Seal + Bind the first one on the right, and beat the crap out of them until there aren't any left. The WHM can silence any jellies they want, it does help.
Doing it this way, we managed to beat all the Princess Jellies long before they were able to unite. Jellies 3/3 Steamed Sprout 15/15
Now, I agree Jelllies is easy. In fact, it's difficult to lose ... unless you screw up.
Steamed Sprout isn't hard. You just don't panic if things go wrong. I found myself as a DRK tanking twice when we had issues with stunning the AM and the tank goes down (I don't do this BC with NIN because they can't rip a mandy off the BRD to save their life)
Preparation is key. I think I'm the only DRK that enters BC with a buttload of bolts (Acid, Blind, Bloody, Holy) and with a marksmanship capped to BC50 levels. When tanking the mandy in Steamed Sprouts, I just stand and spam bloody bolts and let lose Power Slash when I get tp to 100%. It's not difficult, just requires patience and again, a calm and collective group when things start to unhinge. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -8.
