most insane nm in game... Ophion - Final Fantasy XI :: Dreams in Vana'diel :: Community

ok so myself (45 thf) and my friend (45 whm) were plowing thru delkfutt's tower farming and ran across ophion on the 7th floor. if you've not seen this nm doing rank 4 you seriously need to... have a death cushion and time to kill... and bring a friend O_o

somehow we managed to kill him but with really uninteresting drops. and information on this guy is hard to come by... most sites have barely a mention... as well as what he drops if anything of value. curious as to if anyone knows anything more.

He's not too tough, I remember soloing him at 50.

Also soloed Mimas at 50 too, but he destroyed me when 100 fists went on.

1 more swing and Mimas would have died, I just got interupted so many times from 100 fists, and My SP (Blood Weapon) wasnt ready. They don't actually have that much life.. took about 3 scythe Swings to get Mimas to half life.

he's not very tough, but... it's a hoot if he charms you or your friend. we were not expecting that at all. all of a sudden i'm swinging at my friend and can't stop O.o fortunately thf damage isn't that great without sa/ta or weaponskills. tho they did have to break out a bene to pull it out.

get anything interesting? all we got was a gigas necklace, lauan shield, and gigas socks

mimas 2hr ranges from being a joke to being semi lethal @53~

best thing to do is run and miss about 5-10s of attacks if you're not subbing nin for blink or war for defender. you could prolly milk more time if there's no more gigas', since they link

I solo'd Mimas at 50...a few times. Once he got me down to about 100 health, which was kindof scary, other times he doesn't even get 100 fists off. Last time I took him on, he used 100 fists and I only lost 200 hp total.

Mimas does not enjoy me using my lance on him as a suppository.
