My Mood: | a pulling idea
every party ive seen has one puller, but i was thinking, if you took 2 or 3 members with a ranged attack and went up near the monster and they all hit it then ran back and then the main tank provokes it, wouldnt that work better, the worst rng attack ive ever seen still did 25, and that was a lvl 0 archery, so if you had a few people hit it for AT LEAST 25 each it would take of a quick 50 health, which is better than just provoking it. or maybe my idea sucks i dunno, what does everyone else think??

It is better if only one person does it. That way the chances of pulling the wrong monster is greatly reduced. Also, if only one person is pulling then the chances of linking monsters on the way back is reduced as well. Also, ranged attacks almost always miss when pulling VT or IT monsters (unless the person's skill in Archery or Throwing is very close to being capped). The chances of getting three frontliners with maxed Archery or Throwing is slim. Furthermore, 50 damage isn't a lot.

![]() I think your first point is the most important: having only one puller is the best way to make sure that you pull only one monster, which is very important. You'd have to be very careful and well coordinated to make sure all three people were targeting the same monster (not just another of the same type) - and that's not even including the possibility of links. Of course, there's no reason the other two couldn't shoot at the monster as it starts chasing the puller back toward the rest of the group. Just like the RDM starts enfeebling it as it is chasing the puller. I have to admit I don't really understand your point about missing. All attacks miss a lot against VT/IT, especially if your skill isn't capped. But that doesn't mean it isn't worthwhile to attack them... Two or three people that were really well coordinated could do this with little increased risk. But people who weren't so well coordinated could get their whole party killed double pulling IT. | |

if everyone hits it, the monster will hit the tank all the way back.

well what if there were a few monsters of same type and all pullers attacked diffrent ones...if you get decent xp off of 1 then 3 would demolish your group...
