i don't care if the people who i'm talking about read this...i just wonder who is "right" in this situation according to others.

ok set up situation:

me is hunting for the first of three keys for the Khazahm airpass quest...i start at Bastok with the Quadov...i go in and kill some stuff and catch some bad luck...3 enemies spawn right on me..lol..some kind of freak of nature..usually you gotta wait 5 game hours for 1 to spawn...but anyway..i die...moving on..

i come back...and there is likr 3 linkshells hunting the same creatures...they have full parties...and these monsters are nothing but level 21-23...ok ok...and i am solo...cuz of course i cant find anyone to help ma...so i find me a spot by the zone to the dragon's burning circle..and one linkshell has the whole down ramp to theirselves..

so what do these people do? they get one of their members to come and camp right in my little area and steal the spawns i should have...now cmon...first of all i was there before them sitting there...and i only had a little area where maybe 1-2 spawn every 5 game hours...and they have to take that spot too?

now me i would never do this...if someone claimed that spot i let him have it and look for my own spot....and i dont steal his prey..he got their first and has the right to his area imo..as long as its not a huge area.

these linkshells have full parties and can easilly hunt all the rooms and hallways...but they come up to my little area and camp that blatantly stealing my spot??

wow...that is soemthing else..i usually dont get angry in the game...but that may be the first time i actually got mad in the whole game...

lso anyway...there is a point to this long rant....since i am not a MMORPG veteran i ask is there any kind of honour amongst players? like a respect? i know its different for a named monster or subjob quest...because its way more rare for a spawn...but this is not like thta...they spawn qute frequent and there is enough to go around.

so is this acceptable? rude? nothing to get mad about?

I see your frustration. I'm afraid that's part of the game. I've never heard of squatter's rights in this game. It is fairly common to see a LS come and help a member for things like Kazam pass, keys, etc. They make it a LS event.

You shoulda been around when the Kazham pass quest was released...talk about pandemonium...
it took me the better part of a week's worth of key hunting with insane competition to get my keys :sweat:

It really is just a part of the game...
ask anyone in an HNM LS...
it's a big game of wait n' taunt...
and if you miss out, you just shrug it off and try again...

The best thing to do imo is to choose what you yourself think is right, and stick by it. If you leave people with their own zone, then thats cool, but if within a few days of trying hard to get what you want you have no luck, then you'll have to change what you're doing.

Simply try to be a nice guy but dont be the nice guy that finishes last.

There is a hidden 'code', its called etiquette. Some people stick by it, some don't. But, there's nothing you can do about it. I don't know about anyone else but from my experience on the Odin server everyone is real nice apart from the odd few 'bad apples'.

get some friends with you to help you in that type of situation. I had a full alliance take over the Yagudo one in Giddeus.

There are no camps in this game. It is common for full parties to come in, plop down 25 feet from your party, and stop killing.

Is it rude? Yes. Does everyone whine about it? Yes. Does everyone do it? Yes. Get used to it now :/
