No lot rule is a total no for me. But seems like USA players have a total different idea as you can see in some of my post somewhere else

I'm confused. I can't see those links from work, so what are you saying? Are you for or against doing cast lots? Otherwise you have to masterloot, which many people aren't comfortable with (I only do this with a few close friends myself).

I don't really mind, saves a lot of work, but I'd still rather lot. It just doesn't seem right not lotting. Plus there are always some things I really want or don't want at all, lotting/passing sorts all that out.

I really don't understand it that either. I never saw it in beta, but now people can get overemotional. What really sucks about it is that some people will fill their inv (mostly with useless crap) and everytime something autolots to them it is lost forever.

I don't see what the big deal is. Lotting creates spam and can be irritating when you're getting tons of loot (like crystals). If you're in a no-lotting party, you can still pass on items you don't want ( I doubt most people bother passing even with lotting). Whenever I join a party, I just ask if there's lotting or not.

I always lot for the same reasons you stated Jei. I only had the problem few times in the teens in the 20's I haven't had it at all but I also always lotted even if they said not too. I think it just the n00bs doing it.

We've been lotting for a year getting over 5k xp an hour at times, man it must be distracting...

I don't know when I started doing it but I don't lot on anything less valuable than like 600 gil to NPC, so usually I pass on everything unless its a beast coin. That stuff clutters up my inventory, its already got like 31/35 cuz of all my goddamn equip change macros, I can't be arsed with dedicating all the rest of the spaces to some crappy crystals

The master-only lot option is only there for BCNM/HNM parties, not normal levelling up.

When it's done in a level up PT, it clearly shows that the leader is a greedy little fuck who wants all the crystals. I have never ever seen it used in a level up PT. Americans eh?

After I've been playing the game for the whole year I have to say lotting for items has become natural to me. that rules bug me and im very uncomfortable with it

No lot is the most retarded thing i've ever heard in my life. If you're distributing, then you still pass to the leader. If you let shit sit there it indicates that you don't care if it gets lost, cuz that's what happens usually. If your inventory is full, it won't let you lot for items, so when others lot, the item won't go to you and won't get lost. On the other hand, if you just leave it, it might throw the item to someone with a full inventory. Every time I see a beastman coin disappear, I slap the bitch to the floor, mount and molest them.

You can lot for 3 items in one second... I lot when I autorun the monster that I fished back to the party... Laziness and stupidity, nothing else.

The game is easy to play, if you're having that much keeping up with the pace that you can't even lot, reset your keys or something; you're doing something wrong. I use a gamepad and I even take bathroom breaks in the middle of fights. God damn.

hrm... i think some of the ppl here misunderstand what i think jei's sayin
if no one in the pt lots (but lotting is on) then like 10m minutes later or something its randomly given to someone (diff btwn this and lotting? no numbers lol)

in late beta this custom seem to develope due to ppls misconceptions about 'luck' and how the numbers u lot are chosen (entirely at random of course) but they thought their performance, or something was a factor... lol. I think the route of this is something w/ in our (Am) society that numbers are something of power and wealth, and not random, causing ppl to feel saddened and often angry (enough to kick, blist ppl) because someone out lotted something that they wanted. unfortunatly, as long as random pts are formed i think this will last and become custom among some. plus, quite a few of us are stubborn, and quick to accusation . oh and lastly many ppl are new to this game and aren't used to the controls and are prolly using keyboards alone so it may very well take a anoying amt. of time to lot.
oh well... im not gonna listen to em so please, go ahead stop lotting, lol

The only way I won't lot or pass is when:
I don't want the item
I don't need the item
Someone else needs it and I don't (helping/doing AF)

Screw that rule, it takes a second inbetween fights to sort out the items.
