This is esp true for THF. At 15-29 you want all your tanks stacked up in one direction. Due to the patch changes you will need your tanks split so you sneak + trick.
There is no real WHM to Melee split, you should only need 1 WHM per PT, the higher you get you can even do away with WHM.
Also, at lower levels you may not even need a WHM, I could chain dhalmels with just 2 THF alternating sneaks.
The best advice is use comments and post 25 use the macro to find groups
/sea all inv xx-yy (where xx-yy is the level range).
If people cannot travel then they are usually not the best for groups. *************************

Like I hear it all the time: "All the mages can stay where they belong and heal me while I do the real work." or "Blm's are worthless... the can go cast there stupid magic on weaklings while the real damage dealers fight the 'Big guys'.
People have to keep in mind that the most effective partys are ones that have a variety of different Jobs classes in them.
Oh and by the way, don't put down people who choose to have characters that have Job classes that are unusual to their race. Ex. Galka, Whm or Taru, War. People like to experiment with unusal variations, that's what the game is about, right?
I have respect for the decisions that people make and don't put them down for it. The main focus on this game is experimentation and community. Community is the most important role im FF XI.
I hope you can keep this in mind.... The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.

This thread, while useful in some respects, is way past it's prime. The dynamics of party building have changed so much since launch that there almost isn't a standard party format anymore. The core values are still the same though I suppose.
