Re: Paladin guide 2.0
The broad description... latent is on when you have greater than 85% of your base hp. That means, if you strip off all of your gear, and you have 1000hp, the latent will trigger at 850 or more hp. If you put on +200hp in gear, the latent will still trigger at 850 or more hp.

However, food effects bump up the hp needed for the latent to be on. If you use +20hp food in the scenario showed, you'd need 870 or more hp to get the latent on.

Is 85% the exact percentage? It seems very close. For all intents and purposes, 85% is the number that counts. It supposedly can vary based on how much +hp gear you have on the "visible" pieces of gear (sword, shield, body, etc) vs the "invisible" pieces of gear (rings, earrings, back, waist, etc).

I personally couldn't verify that when I did my testing on this. And I have doubts that players want to memorize what hp the latent goes on/off, and swap in/out some other neck item at that point.

The latent refresh appears to stack with all refresh (so far):
PLD job trait auto-refresh
RDM refresh
BRD ballads
COR rolls
Sanction refresh

Redoing the format, adding some sorely needed updates, and fixing some glaring errors. That b& didn't help me on the updates too much either.

The format was crunched together by the forums for some strange reason. I think I'll utilize spoiler tags or something to separate it.

I'm so lost on food. What should I be eating at 21 PLD? Black Curry? Steamed Crab or something like that? I'd rather avoid Lanterns as they aren't that useful stat-wise, but if that's what I should be eating...

Re: Paladin guide 2.0
at that level, DEF still matters sooo.... Fish Mithkabobs, steamed crab, shallops tropicale.... that until 55-60ish, at that point you'll be wanting sushi.

All the food you listed will work, and the difference is not huge. If you are looking for consumable that can make a huge impact at that level range, make juice in the battlefield (if possible).

If the puller knows how to operate with a PLD tank at that level, he/she should give the PLD at least a tick of /heal in between battles. Food that contains some +hMP, such as Black Curry, Rice Dumpling, etc, has advantage in this case.

If the mob is strong and the party has problem defeat before MP/resource runs out, gear swap with MP+ gear (buffer at start of battle) or even MP+ food has its usage.

Re: Paladin guide 2.0
If I remember right, I used Steamed Crab until they capped out, then it was Fish Kabobs. Every now and then I'd eat meat mithkabobs instead, but a party that could support that didn't happen very often. Mostly in the jungles.

Don't bother with lanterns, if you're going to eat something offensive and you want Acc then make it Rice Dumplings.

It may not be the case if there is a DNC in party at that level: ACC+ and Drain Samba is a valid combination.

Re: Paladin guide 2.0
Yeah, but Rice Dumplings have 5 Acc and Jacks have 10. I don't think +2.5% hit rate is going to outweigh +20% Attack, Drain Samba or not.
