Pal/war Activate & Passive questions

I would like to know if sentenial stacks with defender for more defense? Also when I have say 20/10 do i get the passive bonus to defense from both my Pal and war jobs at lvl 10? Last question is about sheilds when they block I presume it numifies the attack of the monster, does the sheild block offten for a Pal? If all these are how I see it to be man Paladins can take some heavy beating. Thanks for any help or info.

The answer of all of those questions is yes, and that's why PLD/WAR is considered to be the best "tank".

Heh yeah..

.. just as a note though, when you're leveling WAR it can be a good idea to equip a 1h weapon and work on building shield skills so you have it maxed out for quite a while as a Paladin. Higher shield skills and parry skills tended to help me out a bit ^^

Well with all that info I think the pal/war is a viable solo character as well right with all the defense skills and magic? So is it a viable solo at high lvls as well as low?

With high defense, Paladin really isn't a super hero and can solo anything-- stuff still can kill you easily (even with a lot of MP, if you don't time cures right they get interrupted when you get hit..a lot of times in battle I had problems curing because the target wouldn't hit in a pattern to where I could guess when it would strike and heal myself in between ><). Though yeah we can solo some things.. most of the things at a high level you need a good strong PT backing you to get the job done ^^
