What inferiority complex?
I'm just giving back a taste of 'yer own medicineThe whole notion of "American Exceptionalism" is dragging down the country. That's not to say Americans don't have plenty to be proud of, just that you're not inherently the best at everything just because you're freaking America. It's that arrogance that pisses off the rest of the world so much... I think it was George Carlin who joked (and I'm paraphrasing here, sorry) "If you went to work with a guy who ran around every day screaming "I'm the best fucker here!" that prick would be dead by the 3rd day." or something like that.
And quite frankly, it's also true of Canadians - There's almost a cultural inferiority complex in Canada, that we have to put down the Yanks as part of being a Canadian - Like we're somehow better just because. I mean, if we're so different, so much better than the Americans, then why the crap are there so many cheap knockoffs of American TV programs like Canadian Idol >_>
Most Canadians are just jealous of the U.S. but are too proud/stubborn to admit it even to themselves. It's nice having parents (and thus family) from both countries, it gives a better perspective.

Whose medicine, Mal? When was the last time any American around here was chest thumping in your face about how much better our country is rather than lamenting how in the shitter it is?
