Got my credit card details removed from my XBox account and all is well (Gold doesn't expire until the 9th of February~). Major applauds also go to the very helpful "agent" on the chat, too. Took around 20-30 minutes to get everything done
Now I can sleep peacefully~

I have no idea what thread to post this in but:
My mother yelled at me for not drinking enough when we had lunch together and I said I didn't want a beer.

I baked a giant cupcake for my neice and I posted it up onto Facebook,
Since then I've been asked to do more for people that want to pay me to make one for them.
The thing is I feel awkward when money is involved. I bake for fun and it's something that relaxes me whilst giving me something to do but my cakes to me look untidy and amateur, It's not a case of me putting myself down to fish for compliments, I've only been baking a little while and playing around with decorating techniques like fondant and using royal icing in a bag.
I've been overwhelmed by the encouragement and support of everybody. I know I'll get better in time with practice it's the money part that worries me, so far I've only been charging for ingredients and a cake board + box. I'm still being told its way too cheap and I know that's true there's things like edible glue, gel food colouring, greaseproof paper to line tins, cling film so I can reuse icing bags, glitter, silver balls, electricity, the cost to refrigerate and also the time I spend doing it.
To me my skill or lack of ;o) isn't worth that kind of money.
I know it sounds like I'm complaining I'm not honestly, The smile part is the great reception they have recieved.
I'm just wondering if you guys have any advice how to approach the situation. I do stress that I have never taken a decorating class, that I bake for fun and would be glad to make them a cake on that understanding.
I guess I just don't want to disappoint people.

Home-made cakes a always better than store-bought cakes. I think what sets them apart is that home-made cakes are made by people who enjoy it. Not to sound sappy, but they're made with love. As long as you manage the conditions so that you always enjoy making the cakes, you won't make a bad cake and nobody will be disappointed. When it comes to money, allow people to purchase the supplies and tell them to pass the buck along. You could even ask them to purchase perhaps a tool or instrument or some other upgrade you might want that you can use in making future cakes.
