I thought this was pretty cool, but I don't understand the point in rewarding or punishing the ants based on their productivity. I suppose if a certain problem hasn't been detected in a long time they would do away with that specific detector until a more common threat appears and warrants additional investigation.

I got friends for that bs.. I also been jumped numerous times by more than 10 people and came out on top.. so.. no.. that's just the kind of persn I am. If I get knocked out, oh well. I went down swinging that's for sure..

The police are, in most instances, your friends. Maybe you're not friends with them, but they're your friends. No matter what you do, they'll most likely be called at some point, so why not give them a ring before you throw your name into the 'Will I wake up tomorrow in the hospital?' hat?

/em finds an object most commonly referred to as an "equalizer" (ie fallen limb, pipe, bike-lock/chain, anything with heft, etc)

This story doesn't just make me angry .. it absolutely ENRAGES ME!!!

It's cases like these that make me believe in keeping the death penalty as an option. Weed these ...things... from our bloodlines. They are not human enough imHo. Natural Selection musta been on vacation when these ... things... were spawned and given the privelege of life for so many years.

My deepest heartfelt condolences to the girl and her family... their lives will be forever darkened by this event.

There's no such thing as natural selection anymore, at least not as far as humans are concerned. Too stupid to live might be the only exception.

I think a lot can be done to prevent criminals like these from every existing in the first place, but I'm sure it infringes upon several rights or something.
