I used to fill/fix vending machines for a living. I f**cking hated people that would not get the item yet keep putting money in. They'd come up to me with a complaint slip and it would say $5+ on it. I'd be like "Seriously?? You stood there and just kept giving the damn machine money even though you were getting nothing in return? You didn't notice that the machine doesn't have any flashing lights, ringing bells, or various fruit on spinning wheels, huh?"

Honestly, this was back when candy bars and chips were 25 cents. So $5 worth was a lot of trying and nothing dropping. We eventually put a limit on refunds because of it. I also had to replace all the glass with plexiglass after an idiot broke the glass and cut himself because he was trying to beat the machine into dropping his shit. Or the idiots that would use some pointy item to stuff dollar bills into the changer because it would keep spitting them out. IT SPITS THEM OUT FOR A REASON! I always said I'd like to mount a camcorder in the break rooms just to see the idiots in action.
