Who are you going to be for Halloween?

Decided to make this one non date specific since it'll probably only be used once a year anyways. (I asked for the other thread to be closed too so this won't technically be crossposting))

Ahh Yes... Halloween 2009 GOGO!

This year I'm planning on being Spock. I usually don't announce to anyone at work who I'm going to be until the week of, or the day before. This year I decided to change it up by telling a few people, and now I have at least 2 other people who wanna do a Star Trek theme in the department. I always get horrible participation out of my department, maybe 3 people every year with the majority being the same three. This year I'm trying for at least 6 people from my department to dress up as Anything. I don't care what they wear as long as they don't come in regular clothes.

I have the majority of the costume pieces together. All I need now is a Long Sleeve shirt and I'll order a Star Trek patch to iron-on the shirt. The only problem is these garbage spock ears that I bought lol, nobody in the world has skin that color so I'll have to color them a color closer to my own ears somehow.

Well I'll be sporting my old school Star Trek outfit I wore to the opening of Star Trek. My daughter has already said she will NOT be going trick or treating with me and the grandkids because of it. I was trying to think of something Star Trek and SIMPLE to outfit the dog in. Any suggestions anyone?

Nothing. I simply can't think of anything that would interesting to do, and even if I did, I probably wouldn't have time to make it. Keep in mind that my previous halloween costumes have been quite elaborate, and I don't think ever store-bought. When you go from an accurate depiction of an RX-78, to a full body teddy bear suit (plus brown button nose), to a jawa (complete with glowing yellow eyes and invisible face), you don't really want to think small.

Don't really have the body to pull off most of the costumes I'd be interested in, or really have anywhere to go with a costume. plus, I like costumes that obscure my face, makes it easier to do characters well; but there aren't a ton of good ones out there. Did briefly consider going as one of the members of Daft Punk, though.

Me and the wife are doing a couple's costume, I'm gonna dress up as the old-school Joker (think Joker from the new Batman: Arkham Asylum) and she is gonna dress up as Harley Quinn (also from the new Batman).

Now my daughter found out that I am dressing in my Star Trek outfit (damn it get off the forums Nicole!) so she's got my grandkids pestering me to go as a 101 Dalmation now. I have the costume and paints but the costume is like 3 or 4 sizes too big and besides that its HOTTER THAN HELL! I guess it would be great for the weather we've been having but damn it...........Star Trek is better!!

Showed my cousin the Teddy Bear and Jawa suit.

She is going to take both of them. Her and a friend (or possibly my mom) will be taking them together. The teddy bear costume can apparently be easily converted into Ewok.

That is pretty awesome.

I was trying to find a way to hide my eyebrows so that I wouldn't have to shave them off and draw Vulcan style ones on, or just skip it altogether part. Yesterday I got on youtube and found a video of a guy showing how to do it (He was a drag queen >_<) and I also watched one of a woman telling how to do it for random reasons (Theatre, Halloween, Etc.). They basically both involved the same method of using Purple Elmers Glue, A Concealer, and a liquid foundation.

I also ordered 2 starfleet patches, one for myself and the other for whoever didn't find one. My co-worker whose brother is making her a Uhura costume said today that he pretty much had her uniform together, but couldn't find the starfleet comm logo. I guess she'll probably be the one to get it lol.

Going as the Nite Owl from Watchmen. Bought the store costume and making a lot of alterations to it to make it less store bought. Learned some weather effects to use too. Also my girlfriend is going as silk spectre. Wooo :3
