Augh, that NCIS chick!

I'm the silly guy who gives out candy to the kiddies. But looks like I don't have much to do today, downpouring out. Sucks to be a Trick or Treater in New Jersey tonight!

EDIT: Haha, only one group came by all night.

You are a brave woman Aks! I only say that because I'm a chicken when I dress up I either have to have a mask on or cover my face in thick make-up so no one knows me! LOL I am just SO embarassed to dress up sometimes! I didn't even get to dress up this year as planned.

Good job though!

Ya we were blasted as usual for Halloween. We live right on a corner in a very residential neighborhood. I have a sun room on the front of my house so I got to sit in my big overstuffed chair and let hubby hand out candy while I crocheted an afghan. (Ok, ran into this in the past so let me clarify. An afghan is a blanket that you can make out of yarn.) We went through 12 bags of candy bars.....ok we ate a few ourselves too!

I wish I could say it was a good day but it was HORRIBLE!

I set up with my daughter to see my grandkids for trick or treating. She was here on Friday with Vincent and he was perfectly fine....no sniffles, cough. lethargy, etc. Well she calls me 15 minutes before trick or treating starts and says "Oh Vinny has a bad cold so we can't go." I asked for at least my other grandson to come but she'd farmed him out to someone already. (She spends as little time with him as possible and then wonders why he acts up.) I said "ok whatever, fine, goodbye." and hung up the phone. She came over 45 minutes later and when I asked her why she was out she said "because you threw a fit!" DOT DOT DOT, all I said was whatever fine....thats throwing a fit. So I said about Vinny being sick and he MIRACULOUSLY was fine! I was so angry with her I didn't even take a picture of the kids but it wouldn't matter anyways because she was too f**king lazy to buy them new costumes so they were wearing last years and I can just reuse those pictures! So she took them out for EIGHT MINUTES of trick or treating. I was handing out candy when my hubby said "oh...there goes your daughter, she just left." I looked at the time and my jaw hit the floor. I had pumpkins for them to carve and everything.... NEXT YEAR I pick them up the day before and they spend the night and we do Halloween RIGHT! She's an awful mother.......just awful.

I had a blast tonight. I went to my apartment complex's Halloween party, since it's mostly a complex for students, the party was pretty lame but a lot of people recognized my getup so that made me really happy, and one girl even asked if she could take my picture.

After that hooked up with a few people from work and went out drinking. All in all a really great damn night. Fuck, why does Halloween have to come only once a year?

There were so many Abby's at the anime convention that I went to yesterday that it was rediculous lol. However, every one caught my eye as I was picking off people to snapshot costumes that I liked Took 69 pics but I'm not going to post them all, only my favorites.

It was pretty excellent, both me and my friend were both pissed that we didn't dress up for it. However, there will be 3 Cons next year that we will both be attending. Now all we got to do is put together a costume lol.

Something else funny. Nate was wearing a Sonic the Hedgehog shirt that he found in the Women's section in Hot Topic, and I was wearing a MegaMan T-shirt that wasn't getting nearly as much love lol. The one dude did come up and say "Dude, your shirt is badass!!!" Later on, this guy comes up and stands next to us and looks around me and Nate. I thought he was staring at nate's shirt so we both looked back at him and he was like "Excuse me, but where did you get that watch?" He was talking about my Kasai Tenmetsu that can be seen in the picture with me, Nate and Zero in it. I explained to him where I got it and he asked me "Now if I went out tomorrow and bought that same watch, would you think I was copycatting?" I told him "Nope, as long as I don't run into you again with it on lmao." then I said "Nah, I really like the watch and the company, so I'm trying to spread the word about them."

When I was Spock on friday, there were people that thought it was a Star Trek related watch. I just told them that it was my everyday watch and they were all shocked.

Whilst most cosplayers scare the living Hell out of me I have to admire the amount of work they put in to their outfits.

The Garnet girl was cute though, Zidane not so.

I can't believe I'm only saying this now, after being an anime fan for about a decade up until 2 years ago. But I never noticed how exploitative anime is. And how stiff the animation actually is compared to a lot of other animation.

...by the way, a lot of my posts, like in the movie review thread, have been a bunch of shameless product placements as of late. But I have to recommend an anime called Mermaid Saga, AKA Mermaid Forest on the English release. I only just saw it for the first time in a long time, and it still holds up well.

Thanks Bal, I was thinking the costume was similar to Shion from Xenosaga for some reason, but her costume wasn't really anything close to it. Now it all makes sense.
