Me Yesterday: "Great the Starfleet patches are here!!! *Opens Package*.............WTF THESE ARENT THE RIGHT ONES!!!!" Ordered this because they looked better made than the other one. (3rd Season):  and got something that looked more like this (1st + 2nd season):  Actual Picture  Such false advertisment, in theirs, the threading extends to the outside, but mine doesn't so I'd have to trim it a bit. I'm pissed because I'm going to have to send it back and I might not have it back in time for Halloween. That's why I ordered the damn thing early, but I figured that some idiot would at least be able to put the right pieces in the bag. Why does this BS happen to me every damn Halloween!? Edit: After scouring the web for a bit, I think this patch looks better than the one I wanted:  The sad thing is that it is even cheaper than the ones I bought from Roddenberry. I could buy a 4 pack of different insignias and still have paid less than what I paid for 2.

Ordering this pack of 4 instead, that way if anybody else at work wants to join us then they can. Unlike the patches from Roddenberry, these can be sewn or ironed on. I'll probably iron it on and have my mom reinforce it with a few stitches.  I might even have her throw a slight layer of gold trim that I'll be using for the sleeves around it to make it pop a bit.

I don't like to iron on my patches. A few well placed stitches hold them just fine and I can snip the stitches and take the patch off for cleaning. The patches tend to crack and split from being washed and dried. It's funny how the shirt I bought WAAAAAAY back in ST's heyday is still holding up....damn thing is 35 years old! It's not like I wear it regularly but I do bring it out for Halloweens occasionally and for the premieres of all ST series and movies. My only gripe is the zipper. Its one of those old big steel teeth ones and I've nipped my shoulder/neck un/zipping the damn thing on more than one occasion.

For halloween I am going to be... ...sitting on my couch watching some random scary movie and handing out candy to kids who drop by my apartment. I haven't done the costume thing in 10+ years.

I was regretting my decision not to dress up for work today pretty much ALL DAY. There weren't that many people to dress up but fuck it, I'm unique and I can pull it off. At any rate, I'm going out tomorrow night. I have to exchange the skirt I bought because it turns out the pricetag said one size but the tag inside said another. Noob mistake but oh well. At least I'm not going out until tomorrow night. I'll post pics.

Me and the wife found some decent costumes as well. Wife is dressing up as a female devil with knee high boots and thigh high fish nets *drool* and me, well, i found a costume that consists of me standing inside a burlap sack, with a "Hello I'm: Good" name tag on it. =P corny, but silly all the same LOL.
