Who are you gonna be for Halloween 2008?

Ha, I just remembered my Japanese teacher, she was always funny when Halloween came up. She was thrilled with the prospect of going house to house and people just giving you candy.

Now to get the full effect, picture this little 5'4" or so grandmother, practically bouncing off the walls in excitement just at the THOUGHT of Halloween and candy. She was a sweet old lady who liked to fuss over the kids in her class like they were her own, I miss being in her class.

And I'm just realizing something here. Mothers, why no babies dressed up like a moogle? That'd be cute!

Oh yeah rant point I missed, you can't just cosplay for Halloween because if people don't recognize it and you tell them what it's from if it's some sort of game/anime thing you'll still get called a dork since you didn't buy some $245 generic Grim Reaper costume at the lame ass seasonal costume shop that always has to find the latest furniture store that just went out of business to set up shop in for a couple of months.

Aint that right! Hell, I was Anakin Skywalker last year and everybody was like "Who the hell is that?" so I just said eff it I'm a Jedi

. Also the same reason I won't dress up as Master Chief LOL.

EDIT: I noticed today when I was at lunch, our local FYE (For Your Entertainment) store located in the mall was having a Anime Cos-Play event on November 9th. They said something about you'll be able to get anime vids buy 1 get 1 1/2 off or something to that effect. You might want to check your local store to see if they'll be having it near you on the same day.

I dressed my son up as a moogle for his first Halloween! I couldn't figure out for the life of me what to dress him as. He had gotten this adorable snowsuit as a gift when he was born that was all white and one day when he was in it I looked at him and went "He looks like a moogle!" So my niece told me that since I always say he looks like a moogle in it, why don't I alter it a bit and have him go as a moogle. Everyone thought he was a bunny. LOL I'd say no he's a moogle and they'd just look at me like WTF? ARGH all my pictures were lost when we moved into this house and a hot water pipe burst and flooded the basement where we had a lot of our stuff. Still kills me to this day.

Ok.. I had a crazy halloween night and had lots of friends over. Her's most of the pics I took last night.. let the comments roll in lol.... btw if these are too big just remove them and ill just put up a linnk to my photobucket for ppl to see them.

Ahh Yes... Halloween 2009 GOGO!

Didn't see the need to make a new topic lol.

This year I'm planning on being Spock. I usually don't announce to anyone who I'm going to be until the week of, or the day before. This year I decided to change it up by telling a few people, and now I have at least 2 other people who wanna do a Star Trek theme in the department. I always get horrible participation out of my department, maybe 3 people every year with the majority being the same three. This year I'm trying for at least 6 people from my department to dress up as Anything. I don't care what they wear as long as they don't come in regular clothes.

I have the majority of the costume pieces together. All I need now is a Long Sleeve shirt and I'll order a Star Trek patch to iron-on the shirt. The only problem is these garbage spock ears that I bought lol, nobody in the world has skin that color so I'll have to color them a color closer to my own ears somehow.
