My Mood: | Virus Problems
Okay, lately my brother has been having a recurring problem with this PC. He keeps having his music and video files deleted on him, and he can't understand why. He's running Windows Vista Home Premium the same as me, but my PC is just fine (we're on the same network) I don't know if it's coming from the files he's downloading or if it's some kind of security hole in Vista. This is the 2nd time this has happened now within a few weeks, and he's going into a psychotic rage over it (thinks someone's hacking him, but I doubt that; it's likely a persistent virus) Any suggestions? I've told him numerous times to keep at least 1 System Restore Point but he never does -.- EDIT: Okay it gets even weirder... a song he had on there last night has been screwed up. It was originally a 12 minute song, now it cuts off after 9. WTF??? Last edited by Malacite; 09-07-2008 at 01:34 PM. |

It's in the files he's downloading. System restore point won't protect user data files. |
