Seeing as you feel it's legit, yeah, it's a bit dumb, but no harm no foul. You could politely inform him that he's mistaken you for someone else. Good for a laugh. ....of course if he turns out to be a meathead, you could always sign his email address up for some of the *finer* internet *publications*.....
