eh you won't find those because you know automatically what happens afterwards...after a random chase thru philly 3 suspects are beat for a assumed connection to a police shooting earlier that month...what makes it great is that 2 of the 3 couldn't be IDed because of the swelling from the beating. Yeah thats awesome

This is why we have courts. If we're going to go with vigilante justice and senseless revenge instead of reasonable force and court punishments, we might as well just destroy the entire legal system and save tax money.

Well the point of the thread is about police and how they do their job. We already know that criminals do bad things. LOL It's the police that aren't supposed to do bad things but do that we are talking about. My comment was sarcasm about the assault charges.

Totally missed my point, I guess that's my fault because I didn't elaborate.

My point was, almost everytime the cops go out of line like this, the event gets spammed on the internet/T.V/Radio. The Police then get investigated and punished (to varying degrees) for their infraction, and it's a black mark on them for the rest of their lives. Because the Police generally are good people, this is usually a serious impact on them.

Criminals (such as gang members, rapists, etc - Not the like of petty thieves) on the other hand, live their entire lives in violence - even if they screw up and get put in prison. There is no spamming of what happened, it's just another day in <Whatever place it might be>. They don't really care because no-one really expected them to do any different, and it's their choice to live that way. When they get out in a few years, they'll do it again - lol at reformation programs. (Yes, I am aware that there are those that actually do not repeat the behaviour that put them in prison, but it's usually a choice made by them for themselves, not because some guy in a shirt says: "Hey! Breaking people's faces is bad!" )

They always say: "Suspects" because it's a "Innocent until proven guilty" system, but you can be damn sure the police don't bash everyone who steps out of line. Otherwise, there wouldn't be a police force - they'd all be out of a job.

Looking back on the thread, only now I recognise Malevolent posted that link to get a reaction of out of someone like myself... I apologise to Feba and TGM for walking into the trap and changing the direction of the thread from light discussion to ... whatever this is.

It was a small derailment only to show an overzealous police force and what its capable of as a demonstration of what, for those who wouldn't mind an overzealous police force would happen. That's also a fault on my end for not really stating that clearly in my post adding the link. Really didn't care if i got a reaction out of anyone or yourself Empedocles.
