Slew of unpleasant dreams tonight. Frozen with fear at the feet of some eldritch abomination trees, a creepy old woman covered with mud in the forest, attacked and nearly killed by a stroper, a menacing black shape behind my daughter in a photograph. Lighter points: a talking chipmunk the size of a small dog, other adorable forest animals, and a cocktail made with pickled fish that was actually surprisingly good.

For as nerdy as I am, I have never played D&D.

As for peeves, being pulled aside by someone and being offered some platitudes and basically having my ass kissed because they know what they did pissed me off and it's made me want to leave. To talk to me and tell me that, "Oh, hey, we don't want to lose you and you're a valued member of the team," after having taken actions that directly contradict that statement surely doesn't make me feel overly confident that I'm being treated like I'm worth a fuck.

It would be quite one thing if they had been honest from the get go, but to have been told by one person, "Oh, this has been in the works for at least six months now," and then to be told by the other, "I had no idea this was happening, sorry bra!" makes me feel like I work with a sorry bunch of shady-ass motherfuckers.




He did have the decency to say honestly that I'm better at this job than he is, which I already fucking knew. But that's a start. It isn't going to make me want to stay.

The investigation starts tomorrow. When it is all over, I definitely will. I really doubt they'd go looking at sites and trying to connect me here to me at work, but I have posted pics of myself here so I'd rather err on the side of extreme caution. The only people who fully know what is going on right now are my dad and my gentleman friend. (Way too early to call him a boyfriend but not just a FWB either.)

Also, checked e-mails today, found some shit from an incident that I wrote last night fucked up. I bitched about it on Facebook (because I have some people from work on there and hopefully they will see it, YES, I am a goddamn Grammar Nazi):


Seriously, I write properly, I take pride in my work. My name was attached to that, and it makes me cringe to think that someone read that report and thought I was an illiterate fuckhead.

Not concerned. Aks had a bad day at work. This isn't news. Tomorrow she could post that her boss unleashed a case of lucusts on her desk and I wouldn't doubt it by the way she talks. I'm 100% numb to any and all things "Aks' Job" related at this point.

It's nothing personal.

Lets look at it like this: There's a guy who I assume lives at the parking garage I park my truck in and he greets me and everyone I work with on a daily basis with a sign around his neck that says "Jesus is coming!". Now... I've heard him tell me that so many times that I'm numb to it. I just premptively wave at him and nod when I pass and largely tune him out. On the flip side, if one day he his sign changed to "Jesus came and you missed it", I would likely be intrigued enough to stop and talk him him.

The same goes for Aks' posts about work. Every day it's the same thing. If tomorrow she wrote a post that said "I finally fuckin' killed the bitch", now you have my attention.

Yyg you must have missed the post where I am actually filing an equal opportunity complaint with IA and HR due to what actually did happen, so while I do bitch about my job and my bitch of a boss, this time I am fully justified.

That said, I wouldn't fight over just some petty "she doesn't like me" crap, I have legitimate complaints. I wasn't going to complain - just quit - until my friend, who is familiar with equal opportunity and employment rights - urged me to file a compliant.
