I got #2 combo at McDonald's. That's not the peeve and let's put my nutritional decision-making aside for the moment.

After paying I realized this:
$0.99 cheeseburger
$0.99 cheeseburger
$1.00 large drink
$1.89 medium fries
Cost: $4.87

I essentially paid 22 cents and 8 ounces of soda for the convenience of saying "number 2." And next time when I say "two cheeseburgers, large sprite and a medium fry" they're going to look at me like an idiot and say "Don't you just want the combo?" Nice try, asshole. Also fuck you McDonald's for making me do this math, but touche for taking advantage of people who don't.

Odd. It used to not work out that way. Its been a loooooong time since I worked at a McDonalds, though. Then again, that medium combo is like $3.49 where I live. At least I think so.

I just go to Cook-Out. Its a local chain. I can get a double cheesburger, two chicken wraps and a 32 oz sweet tea for $4.89, so McDonalds can get stuffed.

Also, my peeve is Milla Jovovich. The peeve is really that she's never in good movies, but I will still watch the bad ones she's in.

Then again, I find her more interesting as a singer than an actress or model. Oh well, I guess if making bad movies makes her happy, that's OK so long as she keeps doing her music on the side.

Tasky, are you sure you aren't confusing "Double cheeseburgers" with "McDoubles"?

Double cheeseburgers have two slices of cheese, one on each patty. McDoubles have only one slice of cheese. Rookie mistake. You might also be comparing single and double cheeseburgers, but even I don't think you're that stupid.

I know these things because I used to be a complete and total fatass.

The meal says "2 cheeseburgers." A double cheeseburger is a different combo. Likewise the value menu item is just called "cheeseburger." I can't confirm whether the two instances of the word actually refer to the same item, but the cheeseburgers I got tasted pretty value menu.

Not that I'm all about downing 32 or 44 oz sodas anymore - I might just have one Cheerwine every two weeks, if that - but I think people should make their own dietary choices.

Plus its not like they can exactly stop me from downing three liters of root beer in one day at home if i wanted to do that so what does banning them from stores and restaurants do except alienate businesses and consumers alike?

Bloomberg would probably have a heart attack if he saw what I did with my tea. I pretty much drop a quarter of a bag of brown sugar in there each time. Tastes damn good, too.
