This reminds me of that Martian Chronicles story. You know, the one with the priests, when one of them said God must have a great sense of humor, especially if you consider some of the things He's created (in the story, a couple of examples given were the Platypus and Man). Personally, I thought it was very true, and it sort of changed my perspective on things.

So that last part of your post is likely more true than you originally gave it credit for, especially if you believe in a Creator of some sort.

Meh, hard to take the Scientology folks seriously after that hoopla in california awhile ago.

And the SouthPark debacle (which may or may not tell you something when someone who doesn't even LIKE SouthPark hears about it)

I'm sorry, while I understand that we're all human and will make mistakes (see Catholics, Mormons, ohhh just about any religion) I cannot view the whole Scientology thing as a relilgion, sorry to stomp on people's beliefs but there are a handfull of religions that I view as little better than a cult and this is one of them.

And Jarre, a little piece of advice to live by.

If you're gonna have cookies, go with the good stuff because the lowfat junk tastes bad, is almost as high in calories as the good stuff, and is full of junky junk stuff that screws with your system.

One could argue that it's healthier to eat the good stuff than it is to eat this lowfat junk.

Personally, I think any relious views screws society being the volitile sheep humans are and potentionally can be. Granted, some good has come out of them, but at the rate, see the US for example, it isn't gonna cancel out much longer, even if its on borrowed time.

Churches of any kind are the ebil, and personal views are the good. Let not gather of man, for gather of man will unbalance the natural unbalance of chaos. Speak not of views, but of difference. Let there be no guidelines to faith, only phrases that builds one's own faith.
