Since a lot. The reason they give is that I was (for a long time) the only non-mod on the list, and now it's that I'm the highest non-mod on the list. They figure I'm more approachable.

And it's not that I mind answering questions most of the time, but I have a hard time ignoring people or saying "Hey, I'm kind of busy right now," and so I figured I'd just avoid the situation altogether this way. I never cared about my post count anyway.

I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining about it. I don't mind helping people out, and I'm always happy to answer questions. Honestly, I wasn't going to mention my post count change at all, but the topic came up here.

Funny thing is, I have had this happen about three times, too, over my entire time on these forums, and I don't think I'm even in the top 500.

I guess some of those can be attributed to chance.

Maybe some people just post often enough for newbies to identify them as nice. That would explain why Feba's never had that problem. XD Has the IMing stopped since your name went off the list, Murphie?

No, I mean admins that know what they are doing or know how to find out how to do things versus admins that you have to explain elementary things to but still call themselves admins.

ie: how a web server works. how host headers work. how dns works. who controls dns. the fact that there are 3 private ip subnets and those do not constitute 'your' ip. why you shouldnt have anonymous access open for things. etc etc the list goes on.
