Really though, if you have a 360, be sure to at least pick up a used copy in a few weeks. It's a beautiful game, but also one of the most cinematic I've ever seen. I watched this game for 12 hours. Not played, watched. It's just that good. The ending, I really wish I could tell you the ending without spoiling a large amount of the story, was amazing.

Even if you didn't like the previous halo games, it's at least worth going over to a buddy's house and trying for a bit. The amount of detail, and some of the scenes are just incredible.

OH the ending made me happy. It really did. I can't really explain it in words, but I definitely felt a good sense of closure not felt by other series.

Wishmaster: Look up Ubuntu Ultimate Edition/Ubuntu Gamers Edition, I haven't tried them personally but you might like them more. you should wait until 7.10 (Gutsy) comes out next month no matter what version you decide on though.

And I don't know that 'ultra-secret' you're talking about, but he was only playing on Normal (maybe the level one up from normal), so I doubt it.

A - OS X development times get progressively longer with each release
B - You really want to bring up release times talking about a Linux distro?
C - OS X makes Apple little profit on it's own, they are a hardware company, always have been.

Ok, so if Apple isn't doing new OS X versions for the profit, why do they not release them more often, and why do they not distribute the upgrades for free to their existing users? Hell, I don't think Mac OS work on non-Apple hardware anyway, why not simply distribute the software for free? Even if it does, that could get a fair amount of the market to like OS X where they'd otherwise be using Windows, which could actually be good for Apple. And again, if they're making very little profit from it, what will it hurt?

Wow, forums ate my post. The hell...?

Anyways, like I was trying to say, peeps up here at the office all pretty much agreed that Halo 3, while visually impressive, was missing something (most people couldn't place a finger on what, tho). Everyone said, however, that Gears of War was just "better".

I'mma have to give Hard a try now. I beat Normal last night after I got it, and the ending, even the "secret" one, just didn't seem to have the closure it needed to end such a storyline.

I did enjoy this, tho...

I do, however, like the nod Bungie gave to the first game. Last level. Much more impressive and extended version of what happened in the first game. Full Circle indeed.

Anyway, I've not personally tried GOW, but personally even though it's somewhat more impressive graphically in some ways, the way H3 REALLY takes advantage of it more than any screenshot or video I've ever seen of GOW is what makes me like it's visuals. Everything I've seen of GOW is this boring gray, brown, and blue tones. Which is ok, but compared to halo with bright, vibrant Reds and Blues, Greens, and everything those three make in between, with explosions that even make dying an entertaining experience, not to mention some just plain incredible moments (seeing a covenant ship pass overhead, a 'tank' popping right out at you) makes me far more impressed with Halo 3 than GOW.
