This is older, no longer using ATI card, but it shows that I keep no icons on my desktop.

I can't figure out how to make it an attachment.

Impaction, that's actually my quicklaunch bar, if i close it all icons go away.

what about your recycling bin icon? I've tried the same thing as you but couldn't get rid of it.

Regular resolution is 1280x1024, but I shrunk the pic down a bit.

I'd rather have something FFXI related, but this'll do for now. I prefer a minimal approach if you hadn't noticed.

You can manage attachments with the "Manage attachments" button, located below the post window. I don't have any icons on my desktop either, but that's because XP says I'm not allowed to have a taskbar until I pay them monies. I'd rather not do that, so I go through the registration thingie to make my computer work.

You can download tweakUI (a powertoy for winxp) that allows you to take recyclebin off your desktop.

And I hit manage attachments and uploaded the file, just couldn't figure out the rest.

Well here is my desktop, its a screencap from the Advent children DVD, yes I have lots of icons etc I keep what I need close to hand.
