Pahluwan costs slightly more gil than SH, isn't sellable, and forces you to Assault for it. It certain looks better than SH, but that's about it.

Generally the only time that I use SH+1 is when soloing or duoing. AF+1 for TP and Hauby+1 for WS in any merit situation. If your bard isn't giving you Madrigal or if your on birds and need the acc but can't use food, then just use Hauby+1 full time. If -eva is hurting you in merit/xp partys then you have bigger problems then trying to figure out which body piece to wear.

I'd use it in a critical hit build, seeing as tests say it's around 3%. Not shabby added on with Senju/Fudo and Merits.

Anyway, Here's what I've decided to do when I get half the following body pieces: TP in Koga Chainmail, WS in Kirin's Osode, Solo/Evasion in Scorpion, Harness, and Tank in Arhat's.

Personally, I'm seeing Hauby as a space clogger if I'm not planning to level any other jobs that can use it by the time I do have Koga and Osode. Not that Hauby is helping my Jins by much, seeing as I only get +18 DEX with my current WS build. Seriously could use a boost in DEX somewhere. and dear GOD, do not convince me to save up for a Hauby+1. Ah, Haidate...only 8 more to go...but that's a whole different story all together.

Really? Hmm that makes it slightly better for my MNK now...


Last I'd heard it was something around 0.5%, not even worth the trouble (especially over Shura Togi or Kirin's Osode)

Yeah, I've seen MNKs without Shura/Osode use it. The difference is very subtle, though.

I want Osode/Shura but I just do not want to do Sky again.
