Hey everyone. Im Going to become a Nnja (dont look at my profile its outa date) and i supposedly need to do the utsemi quest cause its 100k on AH (why god)

Anyway i started farming a little bit of zinc and yugos and did the Tenshodo Invite and my riceballs were 161.

My questions basically are

How much zinc or yugo beads would you think i need to drop the price 8, or 5 gil ( i hear its 153 but some say 155)

Is there any formula for Zinc*(number)= 1 gil decrease

or the same thing with yugo neclaces

(Btw how much to riceballs start at, with no norg fame what-so-ever, that might help me figure out how much yugo/zinc per amount of gil decrease)

So any answers would be nice, and someone tell me if 155 is indeed possible

It should take about 120 or so zinc ores(do the quest 30 times) to get enough fame for the scrolls. There is a thread somewhere on allakhazam that had a formula detailed, but I couldn't find it.

Thanks for anyone who needs it i found a formula for yugo beads, i hope its consistant all the way through for evry gil drop but accroding to his information

every gil the price went down he handed in 12 bead necks (quest 3 times)

so that means if i wanted it to go down 8 gil id need 96 more necks. (assuming the formula is consistant)

if i only need riceballs to be 155 i need 72 more necks.

I found that for every 11 times I repeated Mihgo's Amigo (the Yagudo bead necklace quest) the rice price dropped 3 gil. I got the Tonko, Kurayama and Dokumori at a rice price of 158 gil, and doing those 3 quests dropped the price to 156. After that I repeated Mihgo's Amigo 11 more times and was able to get the Utsusemi quest. Without doing any special Norg/Tenshodo quests (I had completed the rank 5 mission and unlocked both NIN and SAM at the time) it took me 49 turn-ins of necklaces plus the 3 listed quests to be get utsusemi.

I seem to have an odd situation on my hands. i recently went to norg to finish the ninja quest/accept samurai quest/do mini leviathan quest/ninjitsu quests. when i checked my rice ball price in jeuno before heading to kazham it was at 158. I was able to accept tonko, kurayama and dokumori but no utsusemi.
now, i set my HP in norg and used my trusty bastok markets gate glyph. i finished ninja then bloodported back to norg. still no utsusemi, so i decided to just go do tonko. after i had finished it, i checked my fame level at the NPC and i noticed that my fame level had changed, i was then able to do utsusemi.
all of this seems normal, but when i went back to jeuno, my rice ball price was still at 158... this leads me to believe that perhaps, rice ball price is not an overly accurate indication of tenshodo fame.

I was able to get Utusemi at I think 157 Rice ball price, though I completed the Northern Furs quest first, then was just trying to get all the other singular quests I could do before Utsusemi, and ended up talking to the utsusemi guy, who all of a sudden gave it to me without a fuss..

Though I'm Bastokan, and maxed out Hero fame there, so that probably affected it. Got all my Ninja scrolls done now except for the opo-opo beer, rice ball price is 156 or 155 I think..
