It's my fault. BBQ and I mutually fill each other with rage to the point where when we're actually being civil to each other, we're still angry. BBQ took it out on his keyboard, personally I hit my cat.

Had to thank you just for the laugh. It made my day already, and it just started. Last edited by LilithAngel; 12-10-2008 at 05:00 AM. Reason: I just got through with DQ4 (DS). Fairly solid game, and I'm still trying to finish out Psaro's Pandemonium gear before his chapter's boss. |

>.> you're stuck in her castle? Have you unlocked limit breaks yet? Honestly, FF8 is the easiest in the series barring FF 1 origins on easy mode. Complete fucking joke of a game in terms of difficulty (assuming you're abusing the horribly broken Limit Break system 8 had) Zell + Max STR & Speed + Low HP + Aura = a hell of a lot of pain. Squall too if you get lucky with Lionheart triggers but with Zell all you need is for that timer to go up to 2 minutes or more and you can spam Punch Rush and Booya I believe over and over for 9k+ damage. Omega weapon's easy as hell too if you've got any Holy Wars and everyone isn't lv 100. |

So the new DSi... is that the same thing as the DS "lite" I've seen in ads? Or is the DS lite an iteration that came between the original DS and the DSi? Edit: nvm, found my answer at Nintendo DSi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Guess I should have taken the 5 seconds to check the 2nd link provided by google before posting this message.

First there was the DS then the DS Lite and now the DSi. The DS lite was made smaller for better portability basically and the DSi was made to thwart theft. There are a ton of cartridges (EZFlash is one) that you can pop in with a memory stick in it and pirate a shit ton of games. The new DSi has stopped that.........for now. The DSi has a bunch of features but to me its only redeeming quality is the larger screenage. Check this thread for the discussion: New DS Announced

| Re: SQUARE-ENIX "DRAGON QUEST" Press Event 12/11/08 -- DRAGON QUEST X to Nintendo Wii Stuck as in "haven't turned on the PS2 in a week, just don't want to do it", not stuck as in difficulty. Personally, I'm very disappointed with FF8; and moreso because of the promise it showed in disk 1 than my preconceptions about it. ______________________________ this is just wrong. it DOES stop theft, but Nintendo isn't stupid enough to think that putting out a new product is going to stop pirates; especially when they include an SD card slot in the thing. The DSi was made to compete with other media devices like the PSP and mp3 players, and give Nintendo a way to sell downloadable games for DS like they do for Wii. That it wasn't a revolutionary change in design like the Lite is more that Nintendo didn't have any huge ideas for where to go with the DS, keeping the hardware and software compatible. They couldn't go with the normal "shrink everything down" model like they had for the GBA micro and GB pocket, because the DS needed to be decently sized for the touch screen; not to mention people gave it enough crap for having small screens. 8 was a bit of a let down compared to the others. That's not to say it was bad though. I thoroughly enjoyed it. But then unlike most guys I actually like a good romance story (or "chick flick" whatever you want to call it) now and then. Squall is probably the most realistic protagonist of them all showing actual freaking character growth. Zack comes in at a very close second. No, Cloud doesn't count because he kinda just snapped out of his craziness after living a lie for the last 7 years. Thinking you are your dead friend and then realizing you're not isn't the same as changing emotionally as a person. |

I enjoyed 8 immensely, in fact, <insert collective gasp here> I enjoyed it more than 7. Yes I said it and I meant it!

Yeah, 12 was a rather major let down. It had the most realistic characters too, but the final boss fight and the ending just ruined it for me. Any game where you can win with literally no effort fails. |

Thus, you just beat the story by beating those guys, not the game. FFXII boss did take effort, though. If you didn't really do any of the hunts, you were fucked on that fight because you wouldn't have access to Bubble, Bravery, Faith and several other notable things. Only way you can really win that fight with no effort is have Zodiac Spear and haste. And having Zodiac Spear means one of two things (1) you figured out how to get it or (2) read how to get it online. | |
