I just boughyt my DVD, watched it. And I can say I am very very pleased with the work. The small reminicsence from the game made me nostaligc! Great movie

Well.. surprisingly... I live in mexico and i got it already. It comes with 2 dvds..... The voice acting is good.. but to my surprise.. some dialogues do not match on the english voice and on the subitle on english as well.. The FF7 reminecese is basically cutscenes from the game in Japanese with english subtitles..... the sound and quality of hte movie is awesome, it will watch it again tonight.

Oh Akosygin, on the Uk version you have 2 audio choices English or Japanees and also you can choose subtitiles in about 20 Languages (read the back cover of the pic I have posted here for all of them) so no need to rip[ for yourself as well ic an only speak for the Uk version but you can watch it in Japanees audio with english subtitles anyway.

I pre-ordered mine forever ago and yay I finally have it now!

I'd have to say I was somewhat dissapointed in the english voice actors. They were good, but the japanese ones were great. Also the beginning of the movie took a little while to get going. Other than that though everything was top notch. It was a little sad that Tifa and Cloud did most of the talking, I would've enjoyed it more if all of the other characters had chimed in a little more often.

Wait I'm confused. So in Japan they released a single DVD edition, but they only made 100 copies of the single DVD edition?

Why does it say on that edition previously posted that its a 2 Disk Special edition so that cover is not the single DVD edition, I am confused!!!!

Ok have watched most of it heres the rundown....

Disk 1

Main feature (both english and japaneese languages) (speaks for itself)

Reminiscence of FFVII (Storey digest) This is about 15-20 minutes briefly by using in game footage explain the whole storey of FFVII, in Japaneese but can turn on english subtitles.

Disk 2

Making of - documentry in Japaneese with english subtitles on how the game was made, history, interviews with the creators of both game and film etc.

Venice film fest footage - I only watched a bit of this, but it appears to be the film as shown at the film festival (will have to watch all way through to see)

Sneak peak up coming FFVII games - Includes the 2 mobile games Crisis Core, Nintendo game (forgotten which) and dirge of cerberous which looks very smart.

All trailers - trailers from the first E3 showing in 2003 to various other shows and last oen E3 2005 and television add.

Deleted scenes. - 10 scenes varying in length from 10-40 seconds nothing spectacular just extended fight scenes mostly and the first an extension to the Bedroom scene with Tifa (no drooling, not that kind of scene!!) .

Did anybody else find them rather rediculous? A lot of meaning was lost in translation, and some of the voice acting was just poor. I think my biggest gripe is "Shilley shalley, dilley dally" or whatever it was that Tifa said. Original in Japanese she repeated, "zuru zuru zuru zuru" which in Japan is the noise that a person would make while dragging something heavy behind them. It made sense because he's been dragging around his guilt for Zack and Aeris, but the translation means nothing in English, it's just gibberish. Cloud says, in Japanese, after pulling up in Midgard for the first time "It feels lighter, after dragging it around for so long it feels lighter," or something to that effect, as he unsheaths a sword from Fenrir. It's a small joke that was lost in the English version, he could be talking about his sword or his guilt.

The voices were perfect in Japanese, but in English it was pretty bad.
