SHH! Don't start talking about the Avatars. If the summoners haven't mentioned them, then nobody else should.

If you bomb their forts enough or kill enough of the Beastmen who just mull about, you can start a campaign battle.

Generally speaking, the last two times they announced a new Avatar for use was either the day of or the day before the update. So we'll know monday whether or not we get one. Or in mid November when they do the second part of the update.

You still earned more by killing beastmen, and you would still get your ass whooped if you were caught on the wall when they popped, so there really was only tiny advantage to wall beating. If you're going to have 30-40 minute campaign battles where the only thing to actually hit is the wall itself, you might as well make it rewarding.
I agree whole-heartedly. No point anymore once the Beastmen are dead or if they ever showed to the party to begin with... if you did route their forces ya gotta wait until the end for the chance to get a reward from the spoils. From what I've experienced; I'd much rather find a nice safe spot to go afk, do some dishes and make some cocoa while awaiting the end of a Beastmen controlled zone's battle than grind on a fort for 5-10 sometimes 20-30 minutes for what? ... like 60 xp or something just insultingly low like that.

YaY!! I might move the cursor up to the past Northland locations every once and a while now when campaigning. Instant death in Xarca was not a very appealing aspect of that battle. And every time I'd check the battle in Beaucy it seemed about as appealing as taking a bath in broken glass. I now have a "/sh {Raise} {Please Assist} <pos>" macro for those places.

Idk anything about racing or how he made gil from it... but it has always sounded like it could be fun or fail depending on how SE whims it to be.

They also rearranged the mobs in all the Promys so they're practically empty now. Just because SE listened to the whiners doesn't mean it was the right thing to do.

Not sure if your referring to me or not ; ;. I’m not saying it didn’t happen, I was just saying I’ve never witness/experienced it.

When did they do this? I was wondering why when I helped some LS members with promys last week no one died on the climb. It was rather easy to get up there :/

If you mean the CoP nerf all those years ago, bull. You still have to work to avoid aggro.

You do realize the reason it's a preview is because they're not telling us everything right?

Meh…as a current smn I could go either way.
I would honestly be fine with a new looking avatar that had similar BP ward/rages as the previous ones. Just something new and flashy would satisfy me.

Although I must say I’m certainly looking forward to testing out this Avatar Favor stuff.

You might see a Tarutaru piss his pants with laughter…yet sadness as well (since I am a smn) if no new avatars came out ><

I'm not familiar with exactly when Diabolos was released in relation to the rest of CoP, but it was rather late, wasn't it? WotG isn't done yet. If what SE said is to be believe, it still won't be done for a year. Honestly, I'm not going to be optimistic that this is the update with the new avatar.

Thats just what most summoners want. They want something flashy that they can show to everyone.

You saying this in a good way or a bad way?

Cause it’s horribly untrue…at least in my case it’s horribly untrue. These days it’s rather hard to have something to ‘show off’ imo. And i'm sure if avatars come out, a large % of the smn population will have it sooner rather than later.

----
i'm an idiot...thought your post said 'show off'. my apologize >< disregard my post.

XD

Its no problem. But most of the complaints I see from people who play smn is almost always "New Avatar Pl0X!!!!11" (Not in that way, but how often they do it, does seem like it.), and not what is really wrong with the job itself.

There can only bne as many avatars as there are gods in the game (Excluding Carbuncle) so they would need to add a new god to the game in order for a new avatar as all the avatars are from the god itself.

After CoP was completed and Limbus was released, but before the Apocalypse Nigh quest series was added. I don't remember if there was any announcement before hand if the ball was just dropped.

I like the little things they change that just make some things less of a headache. I do miss this game sometimes. Or maybe that's the remnants of the flu talking. Don't get H1N1 kiddies, its no fun.
