Looking at this post it doesn't seem to mention anything about rl partners either. No idea which redundant brain cell I pulled that from. Long, arduous, annoying, far too complicated and totally not worth it. Kinda like getting hitched irl.

I'm not gonna get all "rawr me no likey stuff!" cause I see this information and realize something. This is just another feature that was once something you had to go through POL to use that is now in the direct hands of players. You can use both in game and online resources to create a wedding of your choosing just about any where, at any time without waiting for a clear spot to come up in the schedule. While it would have been nice for FFXI if this happened earlier in it's lifetime...this *is* something that can easily be transferred over to FFXIV with little problem.

In other words, things like this can be seen as tests for new systems for FFXIV, which is good for both games in the long run.
