also, having clear rules helps GMs and players keep from acting like idiots. They're there for a reason. Catch-all "oh and we can ban you anyway" has only two legitimate purposes: CYA, and "Holy shit, didn't see that one coming".

for example, "no bringing Vrtra to the low level area of KRT" wouldn't have even come up, as they didn't think it was possible. When someone figured out it was, they kinda had to scramble to clean it up.

Question is will they actually do something about it or continue to do what they have always done and looked the other way. I tend to see them tell you to do everything in your power to avoid them. What they are holding a mob, go to another zone, what they are calling you all kinds of filthy names in /tell and /shout, well blacklist them..

The list of things that are done and the excuses to avoid taking actions against said player are ridiculous.

I remember my LS Leader saying that when they would be in a alliance going to Dragon's Aery, somebody in their alliance would always bring the NM Crab (I forget his name.) towards the front and it'd wipe everybody in the alliance that came into the Tree lmao.

Actually, I tested this out the other day when my social was camping Charybdis for our new COR. A bunch of JP's were also there to claim, we beat them to it, and immediately they started spamming bard songs, bar-spells, and were constantly tossing cures and what not at me (NIN) and our THF. At one point, our RDM caught a bad Maelstrom, so I started kiting Charby (thank goodness for nighttime and my NIN af boots) and right away they started blocking my kiting path. Due to this me and my shell members filed a report with the GM's and needless to say, within that same day all those that were "disrupting" us ended up in Mordion Gaol for the rest of the day =P
