"A Crystalline Prophecy" Advance Orders Begin and Item Details Announced! (03/23/2009)
The first installment of three new add-on scenarios—"A Crystalline Prophecy – Ode of Life Bestowing"—is now available for advance purchase through PlayOnline! Access the order page from the "A Crystalline Prophecy" banner located on the main FINAL FANTASY XI page to purchase your registration code.

(*Players purchasing the scenario will receive access to the in-game content upon the release of the upcoming FINAL FANTASY XI version update scheduled for early April.)
(*As with all forms of expanded content, the purchase of a single registration code for a given account will allow you to enjoy the add-on scenario with all characters created on that account.)

To commemorate the occasion, the official "A Crystalline Prophecy" site has been updated with the latest on the customizable equipment that awaits you as a reward for completing the scenario!

thanks thats ace. As i favor dd atm that list rocks, it'll be good when I take up summoner again from level 20 as I've just got my carbys mitts. You'll be able to get free carby much earlier with these augments, mite make it easier in parties at low level

EDIT unless theres a limit on the level of the armour you can augment I suppose that I dont know about yet

All I wanna know is, who do I have to kill to get the above armor for my WAR. (Looking at you Accuracy +10 and Double Attack +2% and Crit +3% *Flips a coin to choose between Crit and DA*)

Whatever it is are all probably going to be extinct the second the updates released. The items would have to be rare ex or just rare or the rmt will be all over it. Have they given us any idea where the items are obtainable, or they gonna be buyeable by eg conquest points or IS.

They're all Rare/EX 75 and are in all likelihood to be the final rewards for the CP storyline.

They cant be the final rewards surely cause ppl are going to want more that one piece of customised gear. what wold be the point of introducing a new way to get good armour if you can only do it once, these plot line quests would have to be repeatable and itl be tedious to have to wade through plot lines every time.

I'm torn between getting a Hauby for my Thf or getting a new piece of armor for my War, though to be honest, I can see myself picking the Thf option before War...but then again maybe not....

Now I just wanna know if those will be the same scale Augments we'll see on the rest of the gear. It's doubtful, but it would be sweet as hell.

They are mission rewards and you can only have one item at a time. If you want to change it you have to toss and re-do the final fight. Just like the AN and DM earrings. It's a balance issue.

After looking at the list a second time, I missed the "*Feature in Development --Details subject to change." What I'm wondering now is can we only install augments into body pieces, I mean they always said "Armor" but I don't remember them going into detail to explain which type of Armor we can augment.
