Yeah, and instead of being a Job Ability you have to insult the mobs. The strength of the insult will have a direct effect on mob speed.

Re: Version Update Notice (02/27/2009)

I fucking knew it. Soon as we hit the 20th with no info I became suspicious they were delaying it.

BUT at least it means they're taking their time to (hopefully) properly test everything.

Quiet you.

And yes, the "vastly expanding" MMM and FoV makes me giggle =3

Come on double marbles/increased drop rate runes and FoV in sky! (which would have been nice before I hit 75 BST but oh well)

I thought that those three taru were indicative of some jobs that were going to be updated in this update (Black Mage, White Mage, and Red Mage) but that may be dreaming on my part. The other bullet points seem to be for MMM and WotG, so it makes sense that that one would be for job updates.

Is that a NPC buddy in MMM with MC Hammer?

ETA: Didn't they mention that March/April was when they wanted the first Mini-Expansion out? Maybe they pushed back the Version Update so they could throw it all in one.

They waited for you to hit 75 BST.

In the end its all your fault again.

Re: Version Update Notice (02/27/2009)

Actually I think the three tarus represent that the taru taru race, while equiping bells and certain robes will receive some type of battle adjustment. I can only asume this is being done to solidify the taru taru race as the best race. However I could be completely wrong. Infact judging from the pictures it looks to me as if there is a theme going on.

PLD in first picture holding Hammer
PLD in second picture center of attention
The white backround on Taru's is PLD's shoulder.

So this obviously means a few things. PLD's are going to get buffed so 1 they can use a bad ass looking whackamole mallet, they will become strong enough people will appreciate them while leveling, and also gain the spell Mini in order to carry around groups of Taru Taru on their shoulders.

Obviously it means PLD is getting updated, obviously.

Re: Version Update Notice (02/27/2009)

I hope you're just makin' fun yo.

- First pic shows a new weapon and a fellow NPC in MMM.
- Second pic shows what is obviously a cutscene from WoTG ( player is probably the one wearing the RDM hat ).
- Third pic shows what is most probably a connection to the three "main" mage jobs, BLM WHM and RDM, with the tarus celebrating the fact that theyre going to finally get their adjustments by ringing their christmas bells.

It looks like the hammer is 2handed but it could be the angle the picture was taken...

Re: Version Update Notice (02/27/2009)

Ya I was just being funny, I wonder tho what they have in store for blm (since it is clearly represented) I mean we can educate a guess what is comming for RDM + WHM, but not to the point of what it really is. BLM i imagine is going to get something like ASPIR II (amount drained restores MP of those around you not yourself), or possibly even upgraded forms of elemental debuffs (both which would be welcome to most BLM's =P)

I am more curious however to see exactly what they mean by battle adjustments. I wonder if they are fed up with seeing logs of the same 7 jobs being selected to do stuff at the higher levels, in terms of EXP. Could we finally see a nerf of the TP burn style of meriting. One can only hope. (or not hope depending on your personal opinion of it)
