We already pay $12.95(+ mules) a month, and they're gonna charge us $10 extra for mini expansions? I know they're gonna keep adding stuff not in the expansions, but still....

Yes, SE charges for expansions. This is nothing new. Smaller expansion (episodic ffxi, huh), smaller price, but it's still there.

SE isn't awesome enough to provide every update free of charge, but then not many are (see CCP and EVE)

They're usually pretty good about staggering between expansions until they're done w/ the previous.

Getting to see Al'teau before Bahamut destroyed it, and watching the conflict between Zilart and Kuluu from the beginning! DO WANT!!! ^_ ^

I'm just obsessive when it comes to the Zilart and their once beautiful cities. No one else would like to see the construction of the crags, or what places like Ro'Maeve and Fei'Yin were like before the great meltdown?

I look at it like this. When they released an expansion, I paid $30 for it. Then over the course of a year, they would open up more and more content from the expansion I just bought. So this content is like an expansion you'd buy in the store for $30 but instead you are d/l'ing a chunk at a time and paying them in installments. It's actually nice for someone that might not like the game. They pay $10, decide the games not for them and they quit. Better than paying $30 and making the same decision. Or people that have played a long time and might be wavering on whether to quit or not. So if they do 3 episodes in a year then I'm just paying for my usual expansion. It said that each content released would take a couple of months to finish so it is possible that they will only release 3-4 episodes a year.

There are so many people getting their undies in a bundle over this episodic content and its just silly. No definitive details have been released and if you'd pay $30 a year for an expansion.......seriously WTH?

episodic games mean different things to different people.

To some, they're a great way for making frequent releases. To most, they're a way of gouging the consumer by charging barely lower prices for much less content.

I agree we should see how SE does it, but you can't really blame people for expecting SE to take the low road here.

I'm more excited about the content mentioned than the titles they came up with. Evil moogles? Blah... anyway, I think the white suit is pretty awesome. I don't wanna get married to get one though so I'm also pretty happy they'll be coming up with synthesis recipes. About finishing off content before the next expansion comes out, I remember that before ToAU came out, they had to finish up some COP details and quests, even though the storyline (Missions) had been completed way before ToAU did, they still worked on CoP to make it even better. As to where they are going with the new add-ons, I'm just hoping they don't make up stupid side stories that will just make things seem like a waste of time and money. I'm not gonna make any statements about the next 3 titles yet but just as an all around opinion, I think they might be rushing to push out new expansions instead of making the ones already available any better. So far I think the best expansion has been CoP followed by WoG.

I like the SCH AFv2! I think I'll lvl that job just to get the new gears hahahaha, I don't know much about how the new jobs work anyway but I'm willing to learn. They need to make a new reward in the lines of Maat Cap for those who have all the ToAU jobs lvled to 75 and beat their BC's. The requirements should be that you have to possess a Maat Cap to trigger the next quest of that nature. (Round of applause for those who have no life *ENVY THEM*)

I'm still waiting for a new Avatar for SMN, they haven't been able to find one worthy I guess. SE must have something pretty awesome in the makes for them. And as for the new WHM JA I'm really hoping its something that enables you to cast the next spell with no interruptions (it'll save you from headaches) Just enough to get you a RR up in case it wore in the wrong moment. I dunno, whatever it is, I just hope it's not something useless.

Totally useless. I would never use something like that. I keep Stoneskin up, and if I really want to be careful, there's Aquaveil. Oh, and you can also merit spell interruption down.

I hardly ever pull hate on WHM ... hell if I'm pulling hate then the tank isn't doing his job, and well, I don't run around with shitty tanks. I have approximately -30 emnity on WHM at all times, and I've also learned what to/not to cast and when. (Example, Curaga III at start of a fight is a bad idea.) Another example of something I wouldn't use.

Divine Veil ... OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG PLEASE FUCKING GIVE ME THIS SE AND MAKE IT A 5 MIN TIMER.

Some sort of Alliance Divine Veil? Like ... Divine Canopy (lol shitty title, you get the idea) lets me Erase my entire alliance. Fuck yes please. Or let me Pro & Shellra V the ally. I'd use the SHIT out of that.

Mini Self Devotion? Yes please but that's not going to happen, hell I can sub SCH and use Sublimation.

Maybe they'll let me AOE Devotion. .... OOOOOOOOOOH ....

Knowing SE, my suggestion is more likely to happen, I agree that your suggestion is way better since being able to buff the whole alliance would be great. I don't pull hate as WHM either since I've been doing that same job for years as well as BLM. I'll take your constructive criticism minus your arrogance and add that you are right about a more useful JA lolDIVINE-CANOPY than my OMG ur gonna die because your stoneskin got knocked off and you're trying to get your RR back on because it got erased by the NM.
