Re: Version Update News (11/04/2008)

Maybe new inv systems, a seperate space for linkshells, pearls, sacks, a seal bag to hold bs, ks, orbs, key bags, chests, coffers, gold key, thf tools, ect.?

Up our mog safe storage and mog house too maybe? Of course like Callisto said +10 more inv is always welcomed x.X

If they do make a new system for gear swaps, hope they do make it so we can link it in macros x.X

They gave us seal storage in the September update.

If you're hording away keys for AF or some quest, that's one thing, but if you're holding on to them and not planning to go coffer hunt anytime soon I'd just toss them.

People with too many linkpearls are kinda shifty to start with, I don't see why we should accomodate them by giving them a bag to put them in. I know people have different shells for different events at endgame, but still.

Of course, there's my classic solution to all of this: SLSMDJ.

Stop Levelling So Many Damned Jobs.

There is gear swaping in WoW, a nice little program that you are allowed to add on sets up gear swaps for druid. I used to use it to go from max heals, to max damage, to max crit, to max chance to land gear and mixes of them all.

The difference is Blizzard allows people to create things to make the game more user friendly, SE does not.

I can agree with that, I had no inventory issues on char, with only RDM and DNC at 75 and a bunch of cross over gear (mainly my melee build for RDM). Most people I see complain, and explaining why have 4-5 75's AF sets for all of them, Gear swaps for all of them.

You hit the nail on the head BBQ. (no im not high, I agree with BBQ for the second time in my life.)

Stop taking advantage of what one of the best job/class systems allows me to do in an online RPG? What?

If you keep levelling jobs with little or no gear overlap then it doesn't matter how much inventory space SE adds, it will never be enough to make you happy.

This is kinda why I'm glad I went the two character route, even for all the mission and subjob retread it causes. I never overwhelm the inventory of either character and I make sure that the gear I obtain overlaps into future jobs, reducing the need for more inventory. Not to mention making use of Storage helps tremendously. I don't have gear mules anymore because of this. Hell, I still haven't done the new gobbie bag quests yet.

And it also means I don't have to short a job on combat skill or magic merits.

On that note, it'd be nice if they would do away with the animation locks altogether, as well as fix two glitches;

1) When you swap gear on a WS and it makes a skill chain, it doesn't get written in the chat log

2) If you use an offensive blood pact and release the avatar right away, again you don't see the damage in the log.

Neither of those are critical issues (unlike animation lock) but are just nuisances.

Re: Version Update News (11/04/2008)

I love leveling other jobs, but I have 9 mules. I don't really have inventory problems unless I'm leveling something I don't usually play, like SAM. I can keep my BLM, WHM, RDM and WAR gear on my main all the time and store all that lower crap on my mules.

Even when I level other jobs to the point where they have R/E stuff to keep track of, most of those jobs I probably won't take out except for fun, as I'm pretty much a career mage at this point.

Agreed Malacite, those are both annoying.

Wish SE would add their own version of BlinkMeNot, since I can't get the windower team's shit to work. :/

Yay Lilisette.

I just hope they add some really good stuff by the time I go back to the game.

Re: Version Update News (11/04/2008)

I have 0 mules and have RNG and MNK at 75, along with THF58, and an aspiring BLM. I've never had trouble with gear, and the way I play RNG is very inventory-consuming. I have all my gearswap pieces on me at all times, af hands and legs for shadowbind/sharpshot, ws pieces, 3-4 types of xbow ammo, 2-3 arrow types, bullets, xbow, bow, gun, dual axes and staff/grip, etc.

I've never understood how people have so much trouble with inventory @_@ But I guess I always get rid of lowbie gear that I won't need for awhile, cause in my experience it always ends up cheaper later on.

dito...

I have DNC and DRG at 75, both with many gear swaps, and I always carry various potions and elixirs with me.

I have...
Mog Safe 80
Inv 60
Mog locker 80
Storage 30~

I have no problems with space at all

I keep all my gear in mog locker
all my consumables/crystals/seals in Mogsafe, and storage is used for chocobo breeding stuff + RARE/EX items I cant place in NPC storage

now like I said I have DNC and DRG at 75, and don't have space problems, I will soon work on PUP and PLD as well, maybe by then I might start feeling the tightness ;p

btw... can someone tell me in PM where the guy is to store Seals, is it the same guy you give them too for orbs?

Yes. You just trade them to him now and he holds them for you until you want an orb.

I would have PM'ed, but someone else might not know this. Plus I'm lazy.

Because he's too lazy to use the feature. And if he doesn't want to use it, it should be removed completely so people who do use it don't show how much better they are at the game over him.

Actually, the PvP penalties are the only place it makes sense to restrict swapping. It A) forces people to try and build balanced, full time use sets to keep things slightly more balanced and B) prevents target breaking from constant gear swaps.

Why it's in PvP and not in PvE is very important though. In PvP it creates and unfair and game abusing combat tactic, in PvE this exploit doesn't exist. That alone is reason to remove it from PvP from the start while leaving it in PvE situations.

When you actually take a step back and think about it, SE has added a LOT of Inventory space over the years. It's just not all direct inventory. I believe there's enough space to add 10 more slots to Gobby Bag, but House, Safe and Storage seem to be maxed.

What I want to see though, is a special inventory just for displayed furniture. So when I place a bed in my MH, it doesn't take up space in my Safe. It would be nice to be able to use furniture and *not* give up Mog Safe space for it.
