Re: September Version Update Preview: Part Two (09/03/2008)

Gah, getting in a static or something to get that stupid weapon (to get the new ws) is gonna be a pain for me.

At least I'll be able to solo low lvl jobs better with the xp boost on ep-dc.

The only problem with updates like this is that it makes me kinda not want to play until it arrives.
I thought the same thing when I saw the level-sync notice, and then again with the Beastmen/Kindred seal notice.

Just what I was thinking.

Anyone know of a LS or whatnot doing this on Kujata?

I'm really anticipating a successful solo career now. I also really enjoy duoing and trioing, which will become so much more viable than before. I see a lot of people broadening their exp horizons, which would hopefully open up some of the more popular camps. I guess we'll see though.

I will await what peoples experiences are with this exp boost and you could well see the return of the Paladin galka "Brickshouse" on a server near you.
Come to ragnarok, be cool to have someone on my timezone to fool around with

Sorry Balfree, I'm not going to agree with this....at least on my server. The upper eschelon is pretty cliquey and getting into a GOOD STABLE static party in order to achieve this is not easy.

I don't this will in any way shape or form affect duo/trios because with 2 people, you can easily go after EM or higher. Especially in Conquest areas with the Signet buffs and boost to low man exp pts.

I gotta say I spoke through my behind on that one, I've never even done Nyzul, but some of my friends said the weapon was easy to get.

Re: September Version Update Preview: Part Two (09/03/2008)

Well much like everything in this game, the hardest part about Nyzul is getting people to actually do it and do it regularly. But even still, with these new changes getting those weapons is far easier then ever. Before it required you to climb all 100 floors of the tower, with the same person leading it each time, to get a random chance at one weapon. Now there's a chance of a weapon dropping on numerous floors, and on your first time to 100, you get two weapons, one of which is actually your choice.

So while it's not as easy as the trial weapons, these new WS are still a fairly attainable goal.

I can't imagine their making different levels yield exactly the same xp. I'm thinking we'll see DC go from a 50-72 scale to a 80-90 or 75-90 scale.

My group has just started a new one, just done the first 5 floors. We might as well wait for this change and do them all together now, just farm a few more floor 100 if the guy with the disc has enough tokens.

Re: September Version Update Preview: Part Two (09/03/2008)

With the pending patches to Nyzul Isle, I have a feeling that getting a static to climb up the floors won't be so hard, because spending tags to go up the levels will be a group benefit, instead of having one person piggy-back 5 others to get their own disks filled.

Additionally, now there's always the option of having one person with a Key in your party to spam the floors with bosses and get the nice little items the bosses drop.

I have a feeling these, plus the Mythic Weapons and Weapon Skills will open the door to a new wave of Nyzul Isle participation.

Off this prediction, I've gotta disagree with TheGrandMom. Let's wait and see what happens.

The requirements for completing these quests will vary depending on how far you have progressed in Nyzul Isle, so it will behoove adventurers to be thorough in their reconnaissance of that murky labyrinth.
Hmmm, sounds interesting. I wonder if it means you have to go through all the various floor types or have to go through all 100 of the floors or what?

Nyzul Isle isn't that hard, just annoying.
