Although I remember SE saying WotG was after the destruction of Tavnazia.  Either way I'm going to be doing these quests the moment they are out.

Tavnazia wound up being the rallying even that united the three nations to bring them to victory. From what we've seen thus far, they're kind of busy stumbling over their own issues, and getting their arses handed to them by the Beastmen. We've yet to see that rallying event that brings these nations together definitively. Slim though it may be, I think there's still and outside chance of seeing Tavnazia[s].

It wouldn't make sense for WotG to be after Tavnazia in the timeline. The invasion/destruction of Tavnazia was what allowed the strike on Castle Zvahl to take place. It pretty much says so in the Sandy missions and the AFs. Also, according to the screenshots they're releasing, we're just barely going to meet Zeid in WotG, he's kind of important to that last event.

I know the were already bloody allied. Jeuno practically held them together from the moment the war started. Read your History of Vana'diel again. It was the elimination of Tavnazia was what shocked them enough to get over themselves and get serious about working together, which is why I'm confident that WoTG is "pre-Tavnazian Incident;" the nations are, while allied, still lacking cohesion and very consistently getting trounced.
