Re: Preview of Adjustments for June Version Update (Part 1) (05/13/2008)

I agree that storage access everywhere would be nice. I mean, I can access my mog locker, and my moogle can check on my plants, so why can't it nick my gloves out of that cabinet over there?

I would love to have a fully furnished room, but the cost and space limitations keep me from going all out.

The French version is indeed more clear about it, and that's what it says. Nice. I just hope they're reasonable to acquire.

Take that, Rock Cheese and Bison Jerky.

Yeah, really, it doesn't make any sense. I mostly just keep junk in there ... AF weapons, AFv2 for jobs I haven't leveled yet but I happened to get anyway, some testimonies since I have a running collection, etc. It's not stuff I need on a regular basis, but on the off chance that I do, I don't want to have to get warped to Windy (I hate Windy, why is no one on the server on 7-1?) to get it.

God, why would anyone bother to make rock cheese tho?

edit: Aks - I do the same thing. Rare/Ex gear I don't want to toss but don't need. Rostrums, O-Hat, Wing Pendant, etc.

That's kinda my point. Nobody makes rock cheese on purpose.

LoL Didn't someone rip on me for asking for that like 2+ yrs ago? Nowadays I just don't care about it anymore. My Windy Nation is my HP nowadays. I seem to need to be there more Then Whitegate. An its so much easier to pop to locations and events from their.

I've lost count of the number of times you've gotten into a forum scuffle with someone, LN, so probably. Though I can't imagine why someone would make a big deal out of it. "How dare you ask to have easier access to your items!" is kind of a weak point.

Re: Preview of Adjustments for June Version Update (Part 1) (05/13/2008)

Honestly, I can kinda see the basic concept as to why items in storage could only be gotten in your home nation MH, and I'm not going to complain about that system, but I won't kick and scream if it ever does get changed.

However, I will say this, and it's a suggestion that's been made many many times over. SE could really help the inventory issue (not fix because it will never be 'fixed') if they only made it so Furniture displayed in your room did not take up Mog Safe space. I mean all they would have to do is add a seperate category for furniture that could only be accessed in your own MH that could hold so much furniture. And seeing as there already is a limit on what you can have in your house it wouldn't be that far out of an idea. Heck, it could even lead to those Mog House expansion type ideas people keep wanting as well.

I mean, to me it just seems like an obvious idea that would be helpful to everyone and not too hard to add in.

Re: Preview of Adjustments for June Version Update (Part 1) (05/13/2008)

I think to know about the effects of the HQ rate of items, you have to know more about crafting in general. We're talking about the high levels. It can cost several millions for only the last 2-3 levels of a craft. A lot of items (for example Archer's ring and Sniper's Ring) aren't even worth the try anymore because of the low (ish) HQ rate, resulting in a loss of too much gil when the ring NQ's.

Re: Preview of Adjustments for June Version Update (Part 1) (05/13/2008)

I really do hope that is a bad translation. Higher HQ rates is NOT what crafting or the economy need, IMHO. Now a key item that lowers HQ rate for a higher success rate, that would be good.

Key item? I hope not. Then what if you want those HQ's? Regular rare/ex items are much better in this case.

Yes, something like your apron, you eqiup it while crafting but otherwise don't bother with it.

<(. _ .)> am I the only one here who really does want higher HQ rates?

Stupidly low consumables costs {yes please}

Quote:
The positive effects of these items are expected to span beyond merely improving your success rate in synthesis. The raising of synthesis skills should become that much more enjoyable an experience, and certain items should become more affordable than before.

More affordable Shuriken and Ninja Tools {Can I have it?}

Re: Preview of Adjustments for June Version Update (Part 1) (05/13/2008)

The thing is, while increasing the rate of HQs on things like consumables wouldn't be bad, increasing the rate of HQs on things that are already incredibly rare would hurt the people who make money off crafting. Making anything these days is a huge loss. I'm looking at you, NQ Elemental Staves, Nobles Tunics, Haubergeons, Vermy ... etc. The only way crafters make money off these is by HQing. If the HQ rate were increased ... well, demand goes down, and thus, so do prices. I can see where that would hurt. Crafters wouldn't bother anymore, because if the HQs start crafting to a loss, what's the point? Who's hurt? The people who need these items.

Perhaps the price wouldn't lower significantly, I'm no economics expert. But I can see where people that relied on a couple hours worth of full moon every three days (or whatever it is) to make their gil would be really hurt buy increased HQ rate. If anyone and their mother can do it, how does that make your item worth the price people pay for it?

Increase the HQ rate on stuff like consumables - those that craft at volumes, like arrows to 33 or arrowheads to 6 or whatever - that would be fine. People would make their own materials and then no more QQ about leveling their expensive job. Not that they wouldn't find something else to QQ about, mind you.

But leave the HQ rate of high end items the same as it is. To me, that makes having a high level craft all that much more rewarding.

When I brang it up a long time ago people complained they wanted more content instead of perks.
