All Worlds Maintenance (May 12)

At the following time, we will be performing FINAL FANTASY XI maintenance on all worlds. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XI will be unavailable.

Earlier, we reported an issue that has been occurring since the beginning of April. This issue consisted of players being unable to connect to numerous zones and players being unable to use the auction house and delivery service. During this maintenance, we will be implementing a counter-measure to fix these issues.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

* The World Transfer Service will be unavailable starting 30 minutes before the maintenance. Please wait until after the maintenance is completed before attempting to use this service.

Affected worlds: Bahamut, Shiva, and Titan

- From May 13, 2008 at 23:00 to May 14, 2008 at 3:00 (PDT)
Affected worlds: Ramuh, Phoenix, Carbuncle, and Fenrir

- From May 14, 2008 at 23:00 to May 15, 2008 at 3:00 (PDT)
Affected worlds: Sylph, Valefor, Alexander, Leviathan, and Odin

- From May 19, 2008 at 23:00 to May 20, 2008 at 3:00 (PDT)
Affected worlds: Ifrit, Diabolos, Caitsith, Quetzalcoatl,and Siren

- From May 20, 2008 at 23:00 to May 21, 2008 at 3:00 (PDT)
Affected worlds: Unicorn, Gilgamesh, Ragnarok, Pandemonium, and Garuda

- From May 21, 2008 at 23:00 to May 22, 2008 at 3:00 (PDT)
Affected worlds: Cerberus, Kujata, Bismarck, Seraph, and Lakshmi

- From May 28, 2008 at 23:00 to May 29 2008 at 3:00 (PDT)

This is weird that they would go a handful of servers at a time.

I can honestly say I don't plan to be playing Monday night, either. It does seem odd that they did it over two weeks. Were people really complaining during the last all worlds maintenance? Are they that worried something won't work?

Its strange, not only are they doing it a group at a time, but look at when they are doing it...... not really complaining, love the times.....but its still odd

Why does SE have to do this during Hawaiian prime time? Does SE hate HW players that much?!

I hope this is an upgrade to allow more players into certain zones, namely Nyzul Isle. It really sucks having to wait 30 mins just to get in during prime time.

What do you mean? I have seen and been apart of 4 groups entering Nyzul Isle at the same time.

Whatever it is they are doing it looks like it's very time consuming. They are projecting 28 hrs of maintenence to finish all servers.

It's not a software change at all I figure, or not one that you'll notice. In the past when they've split the updates like this, it was to upgrade the server hardware.

this is going to make the JP players happy - 4 hours during their prime time while most of the NA players will be asleep.
