Ya, I didn't bother joining them because I know it just doesn't work that way. Will be interesting though to see how they fare though. Beside that, I'm freakin Eeyore in the luck department.

It won't flood the economy with gil. It will however flood the economy with behemoth hides. Then again, imo it should have just been gil and r/e items in the lotto anyway.

If for example 10 Linkshell people join together and one of them wins a Rank1 prize, they'd have to give away 90 million gil of that 100. No matter what I agreed to, I sure as heck ain't gonna do that. ![]() Quote:
Because, truth is. Many people in endgame shells have multiple accounts, thus a slightly higher chance at high prizes. Players with their highest jobbie being a level 60 don't tend to have an additional account. What about the people that can't join linkshell oppertunities in order to obtain such R/EX items because of work or studies? This bonanza could've been done better. But as always, we can complain all we want, everyones does their own thing, and then we mourn for a while saying it's unfair how people that already have much items got new items, praise the level 20 people that got 100 million and spent it all on items such as Lu Shang Fishing Rod's, and then as usual, we all get over it, and it's another one of those meaningless things. Just like so many highly expected stuff. *cough*AV Video*cough* Enjoy the game on your own and/or with friends, don't put too much hope in stuffs like this! I'd like to know about the daredevils that just buy 1 randomly picked marble.

Yeah, I went and leveld my windy mule to 5 to get him the 10 marbles and just made sure that of my 10 at the very least I would win an exp scroll lol. I plan on doing it for my main, of course, but I think I will wait til it's closer to the end date, since 10slots is way too many to be taking off my char lol. 4 mules and the fact that they are dedicated to exact things...(Crystals, Armor, Weapons, Crafting shite) and still needing room means those 10 slots are vital lol. (Also means I have too much crap) lol

Well, somehow I managed to find enough space to max out my plan: ten marbles sporting five numbers between them on Kamiel, and the same five numbers played once each on my mule (I could have gotten a fourth of each, but figured it wasn't worth the investment). Each of the numbers has a different final digit, so I stand a 50/50 chance at two Miratete's Memoirs (well, three if you count my mule's). Chances and choices:

My Mood: | Re: Mog Bonanza Ya, it will be funny to see if someone does that. We had a lot of our ls leave not too long ago and now there are a bunch of new people in it from other servers. I'm sure if any of them are in the pool it will have crossed their mind to cut and run. LOL

If that was the agreement I had with 9 other people, then yes, I would do that. Unless I wanted to be the greater internet fuckwad of the year. Of course, I don't have 10 close friends in FFXI, so I wouldn't find myself in a situation like that, but if I did, and agreed to it, of course I'd honor it.

Seriously, how many people actually fucking trust people in their LS not to fuck them over if they win the 100 million. Maybe I have shitty luck with linkshells, but I would not buy my stack of marbles and actually trust that someone else who won would seriously shell out. Of course, I'm the person that would, and then half the douchebags would come out of the woodwork saying, "I wouldn't have shared it!" thereby proving my point and also screwing me out of most of the gil I won. I mean it's still a lot but I'm sure someone would feel screwed in the end, be it the winner of the prize who had to shell out, or the loser of the prize whose "teammate" jumped servers with 100 mil.

I certainly wouldn't agree to something like that with 9 randoms from my LS. And 10 million is still a lot of gil. I'd be ok with that. |

Yeah, basically the rule I follow is that if I can't drive over to someone's house and at least punch them in the face (lord knows I can't actualy beat anybody up), I don't trust them with anything.

The gil sending limit is a non-issue. How many millions of gil do you expect to spend at one time? Just leave the gil you're not ready to use yet on the mule if you don't want to spend an hour or so shuttling the prize over bit by bit. Or if you're like me and actually know how to aggro-dodge your way to Jeuno on a level 1 job, make your purchases with the mule and send the items to your main. ![]() Really, leaving most of the gil on the mule is probably not a bad idea just because it helps keep it from burning a hole in your pocket too terribly quickly. It's a little easier to notice the millions of gil slipping out of your hands if you have to go back and unmule gil periodically.
