At the following time, we performed a version update of FINAL FANTASY XI.

* This update consists of a version upgrade of the client program. When you press the play button after the time stated below, the version upgrade will begin automatically. Please follow the instructions on the screen.

[Important Update Details]

The following changes have been made to Campaign.

-It is now possible to view all items available for purchase with Allied Notes.

-Using the teleport service provided by the Campaign Arbiter will now send players to the homepoint crystal in their affiliated nation, instead of transporting them to a point just outside the Mog House. In accordance with this change, the doors to Mog Houses in stronghold areas will now be accessible during Campaign battles.

-The location to which a player is sent upon using the teleport service provided in the three nations of past Vana'diel has been changed for the following areas:
Rolanberry Fields [s]
Sauromugue Champaign [s]

-The location of Campaign Arbiters has been changed for the following areas when under Beastman Confederate control.
Rolanberry Fields [s]
Sauromugue Champaign [s]

-The tally for Campaign results will now be accompanied by system messages.

-The tally for Campaign results will now be completed even in the event of an ongoing Campaign battle.

-Players who are not marked with an "In Conflict" icon will no longer be affected by area effect attacks performed by Campaign monsters.

-An issue wherein a player's pet would disappear upon the player receiving an Allied Tag has been addressed.

-Certain pet actions will now be taken into account during the assessment of a player's Campaign performance.

-The beginning and end of Campaign battles will now be accompanied by system messages.

-The message displayed upon completion of a Campaign Ops mission has been altered.

-Freelances will now disappear one hour (Earth time) after their arrival.

-An issue wherein the "Reconnaissance" value of a stronghold would drop to zero has been addressed.
In addition, the following issues have been addressed:

-Certain pet actions will now be taken into account during the assessment of a player's performance in Besieged.

-An issue wherein incorrect weather information would be displayed during the purchase of chocobet tickets has been addressed.

-An issue wherein the effect of the Summoner Pet Command "Blood Pact" would be centered on the character and not the avatar when used within areas introduced in Wings of the Goddess has been addressed.

-An issue wherein an incorrect message would be displayed when using the item "Sprinter's Shoes" while under the effect of the thief job ability "Flee" has been addressed.

-An issue wherein certain monsters would be continually intimidated or fail to recover from enfeebling effects has been addressed.

-An issue wherein "Djinn" type monsters would use the ability "Nocturnal Combustion" whenever they were attacked with an element matching the day has been addressed.

-The icons for the following items have been changed:
Obsidian Arrowhead
Giant Chirai

-An issue wherein the game would freeze after repeatedly attempting to speak to the following NPCs has been addressed:
Coucheutand / Remiotte / Aurfet / Andagge

-An explanation concerning the loss of Victory Points when changing racing teams has been added to the relevant NPC dialog.

-An issue wherein the level for a scholar to acquire the white magic spell "Deodorize" was incorrectly displayed on the scroll has been addressed.

*Measures have been taken to resolve issues of server and connection instability which resulted from changes made to Region Information updates in the December 6th patch.

As a result, the length of time required for Region Information updates to be reflected has been slightly increased.

They need to say if its PM or AM if its AM that sucks, if its PM thats cool! Most people are asleep from midnight - 4am lol...

They tell exactly when it is. 13:00 PST. Or, in this case, when it was.

Is it only Americans that refer to the 24 hour clock as military time? I've never heard anyone else use that terminology.

Yeah, actually, it is, because the only time we Americans come into contact with the 24 hour clock is in reference to anything military. However, for us military folk...

Oh, and Mfume's Red Mage avatar is based on 8-Bit Theater's Red Mage Statscowski, who, along with adventuring "pals" Black Mage Evilwizardington, Fighter McWarrior, and Thief (aka Prince Elf of Clan Khee'bler), travel the world on an epic "adventure" for glory, power, excitement, experience points, genocide, insurance fraud, and all around fun.



Now, apparently, with this update, I'll squeeze out a few more points in my Campaign/Besieged battles. Altana knows I'm already pulling down over 1k+ per fight as it is.

I agree, most of us "American's" after 12:00 start over with 1:00 again, so 13:00 is 1:00 etc.

Also, I hope that not all updates take 3 hours, I haven't played sense Tuesday, so I cant tell you that yet. But, at the same time I think they are good, and we need them. I have noticed that there are a few bugs that needed to be worked out. So, I am glad that they fixed them!
