Meh, at least you guys can travel there any time you want (given you have enough time and money).

I'd have to go through the pain of renewing my visa and spend 3 times the money you'll spend on a domestic flight just to get there.

A round trip ticket to the States and back from Japan is damn near murder.

Not to mention that getting the time off work to travel like that is pretty rough when you're one of the few people around that can do the job. Travel from one state to another is incredibly easy and cheap when compared to travel from one country to another.

I'd have been at the last one were it not for the fact that I wasn't in the country at the time.

Actually, I've checked. Not even murder will get you enough for a round trip ticket to Japan. Hell, I barely had money left over for a PS3.
