WTF? Home of the Texas A&M Aggies? I could not think of a worse place to have a convention dealing with FFXI, RPGs, etc. than Aggie-land. They probably thought it was going to be about Madden, Halo, (insert random sports/shooter game played by drunken rednecks) and proceded to beat people randomly like a roaming pack of wild boars.

LOL that's right. I didn't even want to go cause of it being in College Station. Not a big fan of Aggies myself either...hopefully next time they'll put it in a better city, if we ever get another chance. Houston/Dallas/Austin would be the best choices, and we can just hope for now.

I have to agree, meeting friends (although I wish i'd known you guys were there, could've at least said Hi.) was the best part of fan fest. Of course, trying out beseige was pretty awesome too... not to mention proving I knew more than pretty much everyone in my group with that quiz was nice too. Of course, I got my ass kicked at Mandragora drawing...

Anyone else remember that REALLY FREAKING RETARDED dude that had the taru BLM at chair 1? God I wanted to kick his ass. Eventually got to control that character...while they were showing a movie of something else -.- Really wanted to show him how you play a BLM (HINT: IT'S NOT BY RUNNING FACE FIRST INTO A FUCKING UNDEAD TOAD YOU MORON.)

Anyone else still have their fanfest caps? I've got mine in my closet right now. Also using my fanfest mousepad right now, with a backup one around here somewhere.

I would love it if they would do a fan convention somewhere on the east coast or atleast about around that area. I'm not really willing to fly anywhere for a convention and I'd prefer not to have to drive too far.

I've been going to Otakon here in MD the passed few years and it rocks so I could only imagine how cool a FFXI convention would be. Personally I'd be satisfied with maybe like a magazine or something though. I mean it wouldn't be so difficult for them to print up some monthly updates/interviews and so on and mail it out would it?
